Does your dog have a hard time focusing on you when you’re out and about? 🐕🐾
Focus and engagement don’t always come naturally to dogs. They’re skills that need to be taught, practiced, and reinforced!
With so many distractions in the world, it’s our job to teach our dogs that paying attention to us is just as important as exploring their surroundings.
Build engagement. Build trust. Build a stronger team. 💪🐾

🚨 STOP LETTING RANDOM DOGS RUN UP TO YOUR DOG ON LEASH! 🐕🦺
One bad experience can change the way your dog views other dogs for a long time.
It only takes ONE incident where your dog gets attacked while on leash to create lasting fear, anxiety, and leash reactivity.
But here’s what most dog owners don’t understand…
The approaching dog doesn’t even have to be aggressive!
A friendly, overly excited dog running up and getting in your dog’s face can create the same negative experience.
Why? Because your dog is on a leash. They can’t freely move away, create distance, or escape a situation that makes them uncomfortable.
When a dog feels trapped, fear can quickly turn into barking, lunging, growling, or defensive behavior.
Now, instead of seeing another dog as something neutral, your dog may begin associating other dogs with stress and feeling threatened.
And just like that, you could be dealing with leash reactivity that wasn’t there before.
Remember, your dog DOES NOT need to meet every dog it sees!
Protect your dog’s personal space. Advocate for your dog. And never feel bad telling someone to keep their dog away.
One bad interaction can undo months of good training.
