The Farmhouse Lodge is part of Granite Ridge Wildlife Reserve and is situated 48 Kilometres South of Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage site and on the boundary of the Rhodes Matopos National Park. The lodge is situated below one of the majestic granite kopjies which have made the Matopos a famous and popular destination for both tourists and locals. Activities like mountain biking, hiking, and sunset game drive lets you relax and soak up the breathtaking scenery. The private property has recently undergone a re development program which included the introduction of additional Wildlife species. The Reserve now offers an upgraded Farmhouse Lodge, World View Campsite and various activities

This little duiker seems to hang around up at the campsite.
we often see her out and about at night on the cameras.
They are primarily nocturnal and crepuscular, meaning they are most active during dawn and dusk. Common duikers are known for their stealth and ability to hide in vegetation. They prefer habitats with sufficient vegetation cover, such as savannas and hilly areas, and can tolerate a wide range of altitudes and near farmland.

This is the cutest form of night patrol.
The Small-Spotted Genet (Genetta genetta) is a nocturnal mammal found primarily in Southern Africa. It has a pale yellowish or grayish coat with dark spots and stripes, and its tail is banded in black and white. This species is known for its agility, often climbing trees and foraging on the ground. The diet primarily consists of small mammals and insects, and it typically gives birth to two to three young per litter, with a gestation period of 70-77 days. The Small-Spotted Genet is generally solitary and prefers habitats such as drier woodlands and riverine areas.
