🔎 FIC Screening: Why Is It Necessary?

Have you been asked to complete FIC screening and wondered why, especially if you’ve been a TLOK client for many years?

As an Accountable Institution, TLOK Accountants is required to carry out certain checks as part of our F**A compliance obligations. These may include verifying client information and screening against sanctions lists, as well as identifying PEPs and PIPs.

The important thing to remember is that being asked to complete FIC screening does not mean that you or your business are suspected of any wrongdoing. It is part of the regulatory requirements we must follow.

We’ve put together a blog explaining what FIC screening involves, why it matters, and what it means for you as a TLOK client.
