Before you send that story to the media, stop and ask:

➡️ Is it actually news?
Would someone outside your business care?

➡️Who cares about it?
Know who you want to reach and why.

➡️ What’s the human angle?
Facts are important. Stories are what people remember.

➡️ Is the headline strong?
Make the reason to read clear from the start.

➡️ Do you have a good quote?
A good quote should add something, not just repeat the release.

➡️ Are the facts accurate?
Names, dates, figures, titles and contact details. Check them twice.

➡️ Do you have good visuals?
Give media something worth publishing.

➡️ Are you targeting the right media?
The biggest publication isn't always the right one.
