Being part of a Health & Wellness Day that brought together the church and the Ramotshere Moiloa Health Department in promoting holistic wellbeing was such a meaningful moment for me. I was privileged to speak about mental health stigma in the church and emphasised the importance of professional help seeking for mental health challenges.
A special thank you to the Department of Health for partnering with the church and contributing through health screenings and educational talks. Their commitment to health promotion and community upliftment is truly appreciated and does not go unnoticed.
I’m encouraged to see initiatives like these taking place in our churches and I hope to continue to normalise the message that : “You can pray and seek professional help” “You can have faith and need support”
Mental health challenges may affect anyone, and sometimes seeking professional help may be misunderstood as simply being prayerless or faithless. May we create church communities where faith, prayer, and professional support can walk hand in hand.
If you’re struggling, please reach out to a qualified mental-health professional. You don’t have to choose between your faith and getting help.

Your mental health deserves a seat at the table!
Honoured to have been invited by the Office of the Chief Registar of Deeds (OCRD) under the Department of Land Reform and Rural Development to speak at their Women’s Conference, engaging with an incredible cohort of women on mental health, mental illness and workplace wellness.
We spoke about breaking the stigma through psychoeducation, prioritising our mental wellbeing, and practical ways to navigate stress and protect our mental health at work and beyond.
Grateful for an opportunity to take the conversation about maternal mental health beyond the therapy room.

I had the privilege of being invited as a speaker where I educated and created awareness around mental health at a Women’s Day celebration hosted by a church in Mafikeng.
What added more meaning to this experience was seeing how women engaged, asked questions, and some courageously share their personal experiences. This served as a reminder of the importance of ongoing mental health conversations in our communities, including the church community, where mental health is not always spoken about enough.
For me, this was truly a full-circle moment because of my growing passion for the intersection of faith and mental health my passion for the intersection of faith and mental health. I believe we can create spaces where people can embrace their faith while also seeking professional psychological support without shame or stigma.

Closing off an insightful and empowering week at the Siyaphumelela Conference! Over the course of the week, professionals from institutions of higher learning across South Africa came together to share research, exchange ideas, and deliberate on practical ways to enhance student success.
As a Clinical Psychologist, I especially appreciated the conversations that highlighted the connection between mental health support and student success.

I am grateful for every opportunity to serve and make a meaningful impact. Last week was truly incredible as Kelzcare Destiny Empowerment invited me to be a keynote speaker on the topic, “Thriving Beyond Family Transitions.” Experiences like these continually redefine and reinforce my purpose, answering my “why” in the most profound way.
Navigating divorce, separation, or growing up in a single-parent or blended family may be challenging. However, with adequate support, healing, growth and a renewed sense of connection may be develop.
Join us on the 1st of May as Kelzcare Destiny Empowerment will be hosting a workshop where we will unpack this further.
