Sometimes we long to be with other women, yet the thought of joining a gathering feels like more than we have to give. We want connection, but we don’t have the words for what we’re carrying, or the energy to explain ourselves.
If that feels familiar, this evening is simply an invitation to receive.
I’m feeling tender myself. There is grief in my heart for our Mother Earth, for what is happening to the land here in Galloway, and for the suffering and disconnection we are witnessing across our planet.
Perhaps you feel some of that too. Perhaps what you are carrying is closer to home, or you are simply tired after giving so much of yourself for so long.
Whatever it is, you don’t need to be anything else to join us.
Tonight, Barbara, our community elder, and I will guide a Heart Field practice inside The Well, offering love, tenderness and care.
We’ll settle into our bodies and come into the presence of our hearts together, with space to notice what we are holding and perhaps allow some of it to move or soften.
For me, this is about allowing the grief to be there and allowing love in to soothe some of its edges. We can care deeply about what is happening and still allow ourselves to be nourished.
Perhaps this is how we begin to reclaim energy for the things that matter to us, remembering that we need care too.
There is no expectation to speak. You can keep your camera off, listen quietly and receive the practice in whatever way feels right for you.
Let me offer this as a gift, with gratitude for all the ways you care for others and our dear Mother Earth.

Last week inside The Well, we spoke about the Relational Field - the space created between us through the way we listen, speak and respond to one another.
But really, we experienced it.
One woman shared how difficult she had once found sitting in circle. As her turn moved closer, she would become increasingly anxious, trying to work out what she should say.
She wasn’t fully listening because part of her was already preparing.
I think many of us know that experience.
We can be deeply self aware and still find ourselves reading the room, editing what we want to say or wondering whether what we have to offer will be meaningful enough.
What moved me was hearing how this has begun to change for her.
Through being listened to without judgement, advice or fixing, she has gradually felt safe enough to bring more of herself into the room, not just the polished version, but the tender and uncomfortable parts too.
Another woman spoke about the relief of saying something difficult and discovering that she was not rejected.
For me, this is the Heart Field.
If you have ever softened in the presence of someone who was truly with you, I imagine you already know it.
It is the experience of being met without having to perform, and of learning to remain connected to yourself while another person sees and receives you.
This is where so much of our inner work becomes real.
On Wednesday evening, Barbara (the elder of our community) and I will guide a live practice inside The Well so that we can experience the Heart Field together.
There is nothing to prepare and no expectation that you speak. You are welcome to come with your camera off and simply receive the practice.
We’ll gather on Wednesday 2 September at 7pm UK time.
Comment HEART and I’ll send you the free invitation.
Do you ever feel that Scotland is calling you home?
Perhaps you were born here and have always felt that connection. Perhaps Scotland lives somewhere in your ancestral line. Or perhaps you have no clear explanation for it, but something within you responds when you stand amongst her mountains, stones and waters.
I believe many of us are remembering a relationship with the Earth that our ancestors once knew intimately.
Not as an idea or something we need to learn from the outside, but as a way of knowing that is still carried within our bodies and ancestral lines.
This is part of what makes gathering with my dear friend Eda, a Peruvian Curandera, so powerful.
Eda has lived in deep relationship with plants, mountains, land and ancestors throughout her life. She is not coming to give us her tradition to adopt.
But through witnessing the way she listens and relates to the living world, something within us begins to remember too.
And when women who feel this calling gather together, we help awaken that remembrance within one another.
Perhaps the feminine rising is not only about women stepping into their power. Perhaps it is also about restoring the reciprocal relationship between ourselves and the lands of our ancestors.
From 11–13 September, Katherine, Eda and I will gather with a small group of women in Argyll for Return to the Sacred Waters.
There will be time on the land, visits to sacred sites and space to listen more deeply in the company of women who feel this calling in their bones.
We have a couple of spaces remaining.
If you feel Scotland calling you home, comment WATERS or send me a private message and I’ll share the details with you.

Before your next important conversation, pause for a moment.
Feel your feet on the ground, allow yourself one longer exhale and notice what is happening in your stomach, your chest and your throat.
Then ask yourself:
“Can I remain connected to myself while I meet you?”
So often, we enter a conversation already preparing what we are going to say, anticipating the other person’s response or trying to keep the relationship comfortable.
Before we know it, we may have moved away from what we are actually feeling and what we want to communicate.
This small pause isn’t about becoming guarded or getting our words exactly right. It is an opportunity to remain connected to our own bodies, feelings and truth while staying open to the person in front of us.
This is part of what Katherine and I call the Relational Field- the living space created between us through how we listen, speak and respond.
We’ll be exploring this together at The Well tonight at 7pm through a short embodied practice and simple inquiry.
You are very welcome to join us. Its free. You can share, listen quietly or keep your camera off. Comment Well below and I’ll send you the link. X

You’ve done the inner work. You’ve gained the awareness. You’ve begun to recognise your patterns.
And still, some of them return.
You may understand why you silence yourself, over explain, people please or search for reassurance and still find yourself doing it when a relationship feels uncertain or something touches an old wound.
Because awareness is important, but we don’t transform only through what we understand when we are alone.
Our patterns often reveal themselves in relationship: in what we say and leave unsaid, in how we respond, and in the moments when we lose connection with ourselves to preserve connection with someone else.
And so the search continues. The next answer. The next solution. The next thing that promises to finally shift what hasn’t shifted yet.
But sometimes the seeking keeps our attention on finding the solution rather than noticing what is already here.
What we are carrying.
What keeps repeating.
What happens within us when we meet another.
Perhaps the next step isn’t another answer, but enough space to observe without immediately trying to fix.
A different quality of listening - quiet enough to hear the wisdom beneath the noise and honest enough to notice what our relationships are showing us.
Because when one woman has the courage to listen and respond differently, it changes the relational field for everyone.
This is what we’ll be exploring inside The Well this Wednesday at 7pm.
Katherine and I will guide you through a short embodied practice and a simple inquiry, with space to notice what arises and hear the experiences of other women. You are welcome to keep your camera off, simply listen, or share if you feel called.
The Well is free to join. If you would like to gather with us, comment The Well and I'll send you the link x
Do you notice that certain relationships bring out different patterns or versions of you?
Come sit with me at The Well…
When did we stop going to our elders for wisdom?
Last night we welcomed our dear Barbara, 85 years young, to her first gathering as Elder at The Well.
Barbara brought 20 years of experience as a psychotherapist, a lifetime walking a spiritual path and, perhaps most importantly, the wisdom that can only come from having lived a long and full life.
Together we explored:
✨ Our relationship with our ancestors, the land and what it means to truly belong.
✨ Why holding down emotions can consume so much of our energy and what becomes possible when we allow ourselves to feel.
✨ The power of stillness, and Barbara's beautiful reminder to “let our hearts use our brains instead of the other way around.”
Barbara closed by reminding us what women once came to the well for: to bring an offering and to take away a little wisdom.
Perhaps it is time we brought some of these old ways back.
If you're curious, come and join us at The Well. The replay is waiting for you there. Comment The Well in the comments and I'll send you the link x
What would you ask if you could sit at the well with an elder?
What if it's the constant searching that's exhausting you?
By now, you've probably read the books.
You've sat in meditation.
You've explored your inner world.
You've learnt the language of healing.
So why do the answers you've been searching for still feel just beyond your reach?
What if the searching itself has quietly become the thing keeping them out of reach?
Soft Waters is an invitation to listen differently - a way of listening that lets the guidance you've been seeking gently emerge. Perhaps even lets what you're seeking find you.
Download Soft Waters, a free experience for women ready to the search and start listening within - link is in the comments.
