We’re proud to support Charlotte Walters as she takes part in The polar Academy, an inspirational programme that transforms the lives of young people by building confidence, resilience, leadership and self-belief through a year of physical and mental challenges, culminating in an Arctic expedition. The Polar Academy works with young people who may be struggling with confidence, anxiety, bullying, or other life challenges, helping them discover strengths they never knew they had. Charlotte’s participation is a remarkable achievement, and we look forward to following her journey and celebrating her success.

AND THAT'S A WRAP!

What an incredible couple of weeks it has been at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

Being selected as the Soft Tissue Therapist to work within the Clinical Hub has been a genuine honour and a privilege. To play even a small part in supporting athletes as they prepared to compete on the international stage is something I will always be proud of.

I've had the opportunity to meet so many inspiring athletes, their dedicated support teams, and an amazing group of healthcare professionals and volunteers. The camaraderie, teamwork and positivity behind the scenes have been just as impressive as the performances on the field of play. Thank you to everyone who made the experience so memorable – it's been a privilege to work alongside you all.

A huge thank you also goes to my incredible Body Logic team. Your support, encouragement and hard work meant I was able to be part of this amazing opportunity while knowing the clinic and our clients were in the safest of hands. I'm so grateful to work alongside such a dedicated and talented therapists.

The Games have reminded me why I love what I do. Helping people perform at their best, recover and continue doing what they love is at the heart of everything we do at Body Logic Therapies.

Now it's time for a couple of days to recharge (I think my hands have earned a rest! 😅), before returning to the clinic from Thursday. I'm looking forward to seeing all of my wonderful clients again and sharing stories from what has been an unforgettable fortnight.

Finally, thank you to everyone who has followed my journey, liked, commented and sent messages of support throughout the Games. It has meant so much.

We'd like to wish Neah Evans and Gregor Miller the very best of luck as they take to the international stage.

🚴 Neah Evans will be competing at her third Commonwealth Games. An Olympic medallist and former World Champion cyclist, Neah continues to inspire through her amazing hard work and dedication, resilience, and outstanding achievements.

🥋 Gregor Miller will be making his Commonwealth Games debut in Judo. Reaching this stage is a remarkable achievement, and we know the hard work, commitment and determination it has taken to earn his place on Team Scotland.

SMTO member Lori has travelled down from Ellon to spend two weeks providing soft tissue therapy for athletes from across the Commonwealth during Glasgow 2026.

She is already extremely busy, with soft tissue therapy proving highly popular among the athletes. It is a valuable opportunity to demonstrate the skill, professionalism and commitment that massage and soft tissue therapists bring to sport, preparation and recovery.

Lori owns BodyLogic and is also the senior tutor at Grampian School of Massage, supporting the next generation of therapists .

We are delighted to see an SMTO member representing the profession and showing just how valued skilled, athlete focused soft tissue therapy can be. 👏💙

Exciting News from Body Logic Therapies!

Body Logic Therapies is incredibly proud to announce that our Director, Lori Smith, has been selected as one of only four massage therapists chosen to work at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Working alongside some of the world's finest athletes, Lori will be providing specialist massage therapy to support performance, recovery, and wellbeing throughout the Games.

Being selected for such a prestigious event is a huge honour and reflects the level of knowledge and experience that Lori brings not only to elite sport but also to every client who walks through the doors of Body Logic Therapies.

We wish her every success as she works at one of the biggest sporting stages in elite sport.

We’re absolutely delighted to share that our sponsored athlete, Gregor Miller, has been selected to represent Scotland at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Judo.

This is a huge achievement and a true testament to the dedication, resilience, and hard work Gregor has put in over the years.

New Member of the Body Logic Team

We'd like to introduce you to Lisa Gallacher who joins the team as a Complementary Therapist.

Lisa is an SMTO-registered Complementary Therapist with Diplomas in Swedish Massage and Reflexology, and additional qualifications in Reiki and Hot Stone Massage. She has a calm, gentle approach with a client-led focus. Lisa also holds a Counselling Skills certificate from North East Scotland College, enhancing her ability to listen deeply and support clients in a grounded, reassuring way that helps them feel relaxed and at ease throughout their session.

Lisa also works with CLAN Cancer Support, offering Reiki treatments for those living with cancer and for anyone else who has been impacted by it.

Outside of work, Lisa enjoys yoga, Reiki self-healing to help her stay grounded and balanced, spending time with her beautiful family, and getting outdoors for walks with her wee sausage dog — who barks at absolutely everything for no reason at all.

All clients have been notified and appointments rescheduled. The phones have been transferred to the mobile so you can still get hold of us if you need to.
