Sometimes the island brings out the LOVE, and sometimes I'm happy to be asked to photograph it. Recently one couple who both work with sea turtle protection here did their vows - where else - on Sandy Point and another couple decided to say "YES" on the very cool Lyric Sails sunset cruise, with the equally cool Gyasi Clarke playing.

Glamour shot time.... St Croix Animal St. Croix Animal Welfare Center

A couple weeks ago I stumbled into a chance to get a new camera. I’ve used Canon since I had a darkroom in high school, a looonng time ago.

But recently I got a small but powerful, nearly new Fujifilm camera with a couple lenses and I was psyched to play with it. I couldn’t use it until I hit Florida and was able to buy a couple new lithium batteries for it.

So here is a first look straight out of camera with the Fuji vintage film look (Velvia Fugichrome) and a couple with a “toy camera” filter. This thing is fun!
