St. John's Episcopal Church is located in Christiansted, St. Croix U.S. Virgin Islands. It was established in 1760. Croix mahogany.
The church's interior with elaborate rafters are made of pitch-pine. The altar, pulpit, and pews are made highly polished St. As you stroll through the church, memorial stones can be found embedded in the floor and walls. John's Church with its Gothic Revival spires has survived a number of sever hurricanes in the years 1899, 1916, 1928, and 1989. Today the Church looks basically the same as when it was completed in 1868 after it was totally destroyed by a fire.
