That folding chair gave me a different view of the stage this summer.

After 15 years of writing songs, it was an honor to serve as a judge for the Rock Springs regional round of the Wyoming Singer-Songwriter Competition. Hearing these artists share their stories through music reminded me why I fell in love with songwriting in the first place.

I was grateful for the chance to pass along a little of what I’ve learned—and excited to hear what Wyoming’s up-and-coming songwriters are creating.
