💔🐾 OUR HEARTS SAID YES TO THREE LIVES. NOW WE NEED YOUR HELP TO SAVE THEM.

When we rescued three homeless dogs, they appeared healthy. But one of the truths in rescue is that you never truly know what a dog is facing until they see a veterinarian. Sometimes, what begins as a rescue quickly becomes a fight for their lives. There were others that we had planned to go back for. One of the hardest parts of rescue is knowing that sometimes, despite how desperately you want to help, you simply cannot save them all. We had to make the heartbreaking decision to focus on the three already depending on us. The unexpected medical expenses for the three currently in our care is quickly draining our funds.

🐾 Our tiniest rescue is fighting for her life. Not even two months old, this precious puppy has tested positive for PARVO, a potentially deadly virus. She is hospitalized and receiving intensive care. We are fighting for her with everything we have, but right now it is day to day.

🐾 Our second girl is pregnant. She needs several veterinary appointments to make sure she is as healthy and prepared as possible for the arrival of her puppies. Soon, there will be even more little lives depending on us to give them a safe beginning.

🐾 Our third girl needs a chance to get healthy. She requires veterinary appointments, medication, and a specialized diet to help restore her health. With our commitment to help her, she will get there.

Sometimes our hearts are bigger than our resources. Today, we're asking you to help us give these three the care they deserve. They are counting on us. Every vet bill, every medication, every meal adds up. We are a nonprofit rescue, and we cannot do it without you. These dogs deserve a chance. We may not be able to save every dog we meet, but we will do everything we can for the ones entrusted to our care. Even a $5 donation can make a difference. You can donate on our website roadtofreedomrescue.com or please use the code in the photos for venmo, this is our Venmo charity account. Thank you in advance to those that can help and If you can't donate, please share this post. Every bit of support helps us continue doing this work.

❤️🐾 GUINNESS IS READY FOR HIS SECOND CHANCE. 🐾❤️

Meet Guinness. He’s just one year old, about 45 pounds, and full of love, kisses, and hope. His story is one we wish we never had to tell. He was found in Mexico tied outside by a rope around his neck, living alongside a homeless person. The rope had been so painfully tight for so long that it had caused injury to the tissue around his neck. He needed surgery, extensive care, and time to heal. But Guinness is a fighter. ❤️ Today, he is fully healed, fully vetted, and ready to leave his past behind. One thing we know for sure: He will NEVER have to live that way again. 🐾 Somehow, despite everything he endured, Guinness loves people. He loves playing with other dogs, going for walks, giving kisses, and simply being close to the people who show him kindness. There is something incredibly special about a dog who has every reason to be afraid, yet chooses to love.

This week, Guinness is making his journey from Mexico to the United States his road to freedom. Now, he needs someone to help him take the next step. 🏡 We are looking for a temporary home for him. The he rescue provides everything Guinness needs while he is in foster care. You provide the love, safety, and a warm place to sleep. If you are interested in fostering Guinness, please send us a message or call 760-533-2200. ❤️ And if you would like to help support Guinness and our rescue with his medical expenses, every donation makes a difference. You can donate through our Venmo or visit roadtofreedomrescue.com
