Remembering Dr. William J. Fishkind

It is with great sadness that we remember Dr. William J. Fishkind, who passed away October 1, surrounded by the love of his family.
Dr. Fishkind was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, physician, teacher, and friend—and a respected part of the history of eye care in our community.
As a founder of Northwest Eye Specialists, now Oracle Eye Physicians & Surgeons, Dr. Fishkind dedicated more than 50 years to caring for patients. His work helped countless people see the world more clearly, but his impact went far beyond vision. He helped patients regain independence, confidence, and quality of life.
To Dr. Fishkind, medicine was more than a profession. It was a calling and a privilege.
His legacy can be seen in every patient whose life he touched, in the physicians and colleagues he taught and inspired, and in the continued commitment to exceptional eye care at Oracle Eye Physicians & Surgeons.
While we mourn his passing, we are grateful for a life so generously devoted to others.
Thank you, Dr. Fishkind, for the vision you gave so many—and for the lasting legacy you leave behind.
Our deepest condolences go to his family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Rest in peace, Dr. Fishkind. Your legacy lives on.
