I sure do love spooky season. Here are a few of the favs over the past few years.

Of course top tier was 2019 as a social butterfly. Idea kudos to Shelly Czelusniak Hazlett. Seven years later and we’re still fluttering around.

That magical moment you meet your business advisor in person and not just on a screen.

Last night Valley Community Development hosted a celebration for the local small businesses they serve. When I looked around the room, I was moved by the amount of businesses there and the impact this small but fiercely mighty team has made. To also be consumed by a room filled with grit, purpose, and kindness filled up my cup for the evening.

Meeting Eyad in real life was icing on the cake. Eyad is a calming force. I can’t say enough good things about Eyad as an advisor and human. The work he does is invaluable to me and clearly many others and yet when you meet with him, you feel like his only priority. It was evident last night that is a shared sentiment.

And then there’s my dear friends Connect2Communicate whose growth in just a couple years is absolutely stellar. The work they do is equally invaluable to our community. So proud of both Sam and Jenny. I’ve seen behind the scenes of the hurdles they face to increase access to care for all. Hard work but they show up every day and make a true difference. Those are the types of dreams Valley CDC supports.

Just a year and a half into Freetide Creative, and dang, what a ride it’s been!

What started as one woman with a camera and a whole lot of ideas has grown into something bigger than I could have imagined. I’m beyond grateful for the incredible clients who have trusted me with their brands, stories, and special moments.

And while growth is exciting, quality will ALWAYS come first.

With some exciting new clients coming on board, it’s time to be intentional about this next chapter. That means refining my onboarding process, expanding my team, and making sure every client continues to receive the creativity, attention, and quality they’ve come to expect.

So, with that being said, the 2027 client waitlist is officially OPEN!

I’ll be pausing new client starts for the remainder of 2026, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start the conversation now!

Extra extra read all about it. Word on the street (and in a few social media articles I’ve been reading) is that single-photo posts are making a comeback. I’m HERE for it.

Does this mean ditching Reels and carousels? Nope. But it’s something I’m going to start testing out. Because social media is constantly changing, and sometimes the simplest content deserves a little love, too.

Looks like single-photo posts could be rising from the dead just in time for Halloween. 👻

Follower count is cool. But you know what’s cooler? Building a brand people actually trust.

And trust me, I’m guilty of getting caught up in the follower count, too. It’s exciting to see those numbers grow. But I also know there’s so much more to a successful social media presence.

Here’s what I care about even more:

🌊 Building a trusted brand. Do people recognize your business, understand what you do, and feel confident choosing you?

🌊 How you show up. Are you consistent, authentic, and giving people a reason to connect with your business beyond what you’re selling?

🌊 Meaningful engagement. I’d rather see 10 real conversations with potential customers than 1,000 likes from people who will never work with you.

🌊 Having an actual strategy. Posting just to post isn’t the goal. Your content should have a purpose, whether that’s educating, connecting, building awareness, or driving action.

🌊 Showing your personality. Because people want to connect with people, not another perfectly polished business account that looks like everyone else’s.

Don’t get me wrong, growing your following is great. I’m cheering for those numbers to go up, too!

But growing the right following while building a brand people remember and trust? That’s what matters.

And that’s what I’m here to help you do.

I’m Ally, the face (and very busy brain) behind Freetide Creative.

I’m the girl who loves figuring out the WHY behind what makes a brand work just as much as I love getting behind the camera and bringing it to life.

One minute I’m mapping out a content strategy, the next I’m on the floor trying to get the perfect shot, and somewhere in between I’ve come up with 12 more ideas.

Around here, we do social media strategy, content creation, photography, and a whole lot of thinking outside the box.

I believe good content should look good, feel like YOU, and actually have a purpose.

I’m beginning to look for part-time help at Freetide Creative, and I’m starting with my network. Consider this a soft launch. I’m currently spending time with family as a loved one is on comfort measures only, so a formal job description will come a little later.

At the same time, a few new clients are coming on board soon, and I want to keep delivering the quality and care my clients expect. So I’m putting the word out now.

What I'm looking for:
Video editing is the priority, specifically short-form content for social media. I'll provide the footage and brand guidelines. I'm looking for someone to bring it together in the edit. The editing work can be fully remote. Depending on your interests, there's room to take on more over time, including administrative support, graphic design, or shadowing me on filming.

What I care about most:
Finding the right person and shaping the role around them. The schedule is flexible, whether that's a few hours a week, evenings, early mornings, or specific days.
