The SRAC connects people and the arts. We support, educate, and advocate!
ART DROP OFF IS THIS WEEK! Artists can submit one piece of art to be delivered on October 29&30 between the hours of 9 am and 5pm to The Creamery Arts Center. Not a current Artist Member of the Springfield Regional Arts Council? Our memberships are as low as $25/year! Join by visiting our website and following the “Become A Member” tab.
The opening reception for the “Annual Members’ Show” will be on November 6 at The Creamery Arts Center, from 5-7 pm, AND SRAC will be hosting our Annual Members Meeting on the same night at 5:15 pm. Every year at our Members’ Meeting, we reflect on this year’s accomplishments and share the new season of exhibitions and events. This will be artists’ first access to our 2027 shows and themes! We also introduce opportunities for you to get involved on committees, and finally celebrate new members of our Board of Directors. This meeting is a great way for our Members to stay involved and in the know on all things Arts Council!

The Springfield Regional Arts Council is happy to announce that we’re bringing back Lunch & Learns at the Creamery! The OGs will remember we used to do this to bring the creative community together to eat, network, and dream about the future of the arts in Springfield. Now that our Cultural Plan has come to fruition, we’re bringing these lunches back so we can join forces and get to work!
We’ve had community members ask what they can do to help with the Cultural Plan. Right now, the best way to help breathe life into this plan is to get involved in the arts community in Springfield. Bring your lunch to the Creamery on November 12 from 11:30AM-1PM to kick off our lunches and to hear a presentation on The Cultural Plan: “This Place We Make” from our very own Executive Director, Leslie Forrester.
Our Executive Director, Leslie Forrester, was invited on Off Book with Beth by Springfield Little Theatre to talk about all things arts and culture. Leslie has been out spreading the good word about our new Cultural Plan for the Springfield region. The core belief of the Cultural Plan is that Arts and Culture are pivotal for economic vitality and a thriving community. We believe that arts bleed into every area of life and the city you live in. We want more art and we want more people to be a part of it.
Thank you to the Springfield Little Theatre for being a great partner in the arts! The full episode is available wherever you stream your podcasts, or at springfieldlittletheatre.org/off-book-with-beth
