Dark Stone Coffee

Jeff Smith and his wife Julia have been dark stone customers for about 8 years. Jeff recently changed his favorite drink from the iced caramel mocha to the iced french silk. When asked how he found dark stone he states, “My wife is a coffee snob and a health nut and she her research and we found it” If Jeff and Julia could choose one thing to do in springfield it would be going on walks with their german shepard, along with meeting and investing in people at their studio. Jeff has owned Studio 2100 is Springfield, MO for 23 years, Jeff stated, “this business has become more of a ministry to us, me and my wife Julia, (stage name, Mable Lane), we just want to love people” Support our local Springfield businesses, and check out Studio 2100!

Izzy Millsap is one of the newest members of the Dark Stone team! When we asked Izzy what her favorite fall activity was she said, “definitely hiking.” Her and her family
tend to go to Arkansas quite bit in the fall to look at the beautiful leaves changing. Izzy also loves the pizza nights happening weekly at her farm, Millsap Farms, she says, “I love when I get to see friends and connect with our community.” Making it understandable why Izzy’s favorite part of working at Dark Stone is getting the opportunity to talk to our customers, and drinking a hot chai in the fall! ;) We are so thankful for Izzy.

Good friends enjoying good food at our annual-ish staff dinner. Thank you to Millsap Farm () for creating such a fun event with your Thursday Pizza Club! We thoroughly enjoyed getting together to feast on your farm fresh, wood-fired pizza and listen to the local live band! If you haven't been out to the farm for a pizza club night, you are missing out on a great experience. They even had gluten-free AND Alpha-Gal friendly options!

Caleb is a regular at dark stone, his favorite drink is black coffee, hot or iced, depending on the weather. If he could choose one thing to do thing in Springfield he would go and get an oreo concrete from Andy’s! Caleb is also the owner of Morris Guitar Company, a name that came from his musician grandparents. His business began 5 years ago when he sold an extra guitar a guy on craig’s list. Caleb said, "after that I was hooked. I knew I wanted to sell guitars regularly". Morris Guitar Company generally sells to beginner or intermediate musicians and worship leaders. It has grown from single bedroom apartment, with guitars piled every where, to a storefront just north of I-44!

This is Rick, a regular at Dark Stone. Rick has been coming to Dark Stone for around 4 years and usually includes us in his day about 3 times: 6:03 am, 8:10 am, and 2:30 pm! Rick says what keeps him coming back is, “the great service and variety of coffee!” We asked Rick what he likes to do in his free time and he said hanging with his friend, Shannon. (One of our other regulars!) He said Shannon was driving by one time and noticed Dark Stome and that’s how this all began. Rick listens to christian or country music and loves to go to Table Rock Lake. We are very thankful for Rick!
