This Halloween, don't let concerning symptoms go unnoticed. 🎃
- Changes in bowel habits
- Blood in your stool
- Unexplained weight loss
- Persistent abdominal pain or cramping
- Fatigue that won't go away
- Narrow or ribbon-like stools
- A feeling that your bowel isn't fully empty
- Nausea or vomiting
These symptoms don't always mean **alcancer, but it's important to talk with a healthcare provider about anything new, persistent, or unusual for you—regardless of your age.
If you're 45 or older, ask about routine colore**al cancer screening. Learn when screening is right for you: take our Screening Quiz at fightcrc.org/quiz

At the Western Colore**al Cancer Consortium Conference (WC4) in Davis, California, Fight CRC Research Advocate Mike Davis joined researchers and physicians working on the questions that matter most to the early-onset colore**al cancer community.
"By adding human faces and stories to the data and trials researchers and physicians are working on, we hope we can lend an urgency and gravity to the stakes of early-onset colore**al cancer research." Mike Davis, Stage I re**al cancer survivor, diagnosed at 38
Mike, Dr. Joshua Demb, and Dr. Samir Gupta also work together in Fight CRC's EOCRC Global Collaborative workgroups. Read Mike's reflections on the conference and why survivor voices matter in early-onset colore**al cancer research: fightcrc.org/wc4recap

CRC Screening Win! Pennsylvania just strengthened colore**al cancer screening coverage. Under a new law, health plans regulated by the state must cover a follow-up colonoscopy after a positive noninvasive screening test, with no out-of-pocket cost.
The legislation was championed by Pennsylvania State Representative Pat Gallagher, a colore**al cancer survivor and the bill's lead sponsor, and had overwhelming bipartisan support from lawmakers in both chambers.
A colore**al cancer screening is only complete if a positive noninvasive result is followed by a colonoscopy. This law helps make sure that step is within reach for more Pennsylvanians.

"In 2021, genetic testing revealed two mutations: MSH2 (Lynch syndrome) and CHEK2. When I had my first colonoscopy, stage 0/1 re**al adenocarcinoma was found. I was 34.
I had surgery to remove the cancer, and then began frequent surveillance. In 2024, at age 36, a monitored lymph node was confirmed as stage III colore**al adenocarcinoma, dMMR/MSI-H. My treatment included immunotherapy and major surgery: a proctocolectomy and prophylactic hysterectomy. After surgery, pathology results showed NED!
Without genetic testing, I likely wouldn't have had a colonoscopy until age 40, which could've been too late. I want to be here with the people I love for as long as I can be!" - Briana Ghbein, re**al cancer survivor 💙
