It’s time for the Tumbler to tumble! Springfield’s 8,000-pound Tumbler sculpture will be repositioned for the fall equinox today at 4:30 p.m. on Park Central Square.
Created by Greek artist Aris Demetrios and installed in 1971, the sculpture was designed to be rotated with the changing seasons, giving viewers a new perspective throughout the year. The Tumbler began its seasonal tumbles in 2012 and has been repositioned every equinox and solstice since.

It’s National Cheeseburger day?
We will be closed the remainder of the night, and tomorrow (Saturday) as well. We are having equipment issues, and are short staffed.
Between that, a holiday weekend and it being 9,000 degrees: we are taking it as a sign to close for the weekend.
