Artisan lighting made by hand in the PNW. Playful, modern & designed to stand out. Showroom by appointment at 1504 E Sprague Spokane, WA.
What began as a weekend project to create the perfect chandelier, transformed into a cottage industry, The Light Factory. Ashlie’s first chandelier garnered comments and requests, so she began crafting bubble chandeliers for retail. With a background in business management and marketing and a passion for creation, Ashlie has carefully grown her business; always focusing on customer satisfaction and product quality.
“My goal is for the pieces we build to use modern materials like glass, steel, leather, brass, and nylon to hint at the beautifully organic or random shapes we see when we step outside. So when I'm designing a new piece I'm trying to find that juxtaposition of natural and sculptural that would be just as at home in a Manhattan apartment as it would be in a house by the lake. There's something extremely satisfying about using materials in a different and challenging way to come up with a unique piece. It’s even more satisfying when I've been able to work with a customer who can't quite describe exactly what they'd like, but we have a conversation, and there's a moment at the end of building when I know that I've hit the mark, and they're going to see their feelings in that piece when it arrives. Working one-on-one over the phone, email and in person to create the perfect light for my clients is a fantastic challenge that excites me every day. I love the process of creation and seeing the end product, but mostly I love knowing that someone is as happy with their chandelier as I am with mine. At the end of the day that’s what matters most. “

There’s a reason the 31 is one of our classics. At 22 inches wide, it has that full, clustered Bubble silhouette we love without needing a massive space to pull it off.
Over a table, in a bedroom, tucked into a corner, it’s one of those sizes that just works. Shown here in Iridescent and clear.

A room that makes a very good case for keeping things quiet.

A love story, but with better lighting. ✨
Chances are, if you’ve contacted The Light Factory, you’ve talked to Ashlie or Joel at some point.
Ashlie founded TLF in 2013, and today she and her husband Joel work together leading our small team and keeping this lighting company moving forward. From dreaming up what’s next to working through the everyday challenges of running a business, there’s a lot that happens behind the scenes—and these two have their hands in just about all of it.

Clear glass is one of those choices that can completely change the scale you can get away with.
The Round Branch Chandelier has plenty of presence here, without closing in the room—and we love it against that deep navy cabinetry.

Good lighting belongs at work too! Our Balance Chandelier brings sculptural form and warm light to reception areas, front desks, and other spaces designed to welcome people in.
At 36" long, it has just enough presence to define the space without overwhelming it.

The best rooms are layered with light. Our new Terrene Ceramic Table Lamp adds that soft, warm glow that makes a room feel a little cozier. With a wheel-thrown ceramic base and handcrafted botanical shade, it’s pretty even when it’s turned off. Get all the details on our website!

Still thinking about this one. 🤍
Our Clear Bubble Chandelier feels right at home among Carrara marble, warm brass, and all that gorgeous natural light.
