A new school year can bring up all kinds of feelings, from excitement to nervous anticipation. So at Primrose, we like to start it with something simple: a smile, a wave and a warm welcome. 💗

Here's to a year filled with curiosity, confidence and meaningful moments of growth. Welcome to a new school year at Primrose! 👋🏫

When you walk into a Primrose school, you're seeing more than furniture and learning materials — you're seeing a thoughtfully designed environment that supports the development of the whole child. 🏫

From child-sized furniture and cozy reading spaces to hands-on learning materials and engaging learning centers, every element serves a purpose as children learn, grow and discover the world around them. 🌱

And while these details may seem small, they help create a place where children feel confident to explore, curious to learn and excited about what comes next. 🔍✨

One of the most meaningful lessons children can learn is that their actions can help others. 💗

Our Spring Fling is an annual, carnival-themed fundraiser that lets Primrose students experience the joy of giving back to families in their community and beyond. This year, through fun auctions, games, food and more, children helped raise more than $560,000 for local charities and the Primrose Schools Partnership for Children℠.

We’re grateful to every family who helped make this year’s Spring Fling so special — and helped children discover that kindness can grow into real community impact. 🌸🌱

Just like any skill, friendship skills grow with practice. 🌱 Here are a few ways to help your child feel more confident connecting with others:

👀 Be a model friend
Children learn by watching. Show kindness, patience and active listening in your everyday interactions.

🧸 Practice with puppets or stuffed animals
Pretend play can help children act out social situations, practice words to use and explore what friendship looks like.

📚 Read stories about friendship
Story time is one of the best ways to teach your child what it means to be a good friend, so snuggle up with a good read, like:
📖 “A Bug, a Bear, and a Boy” by David McPhail
📖 “Hunter’s Best Friend at School” by Laura Malone Elliott
📖 “The Story of Fish and Snail” by Deborah Freedman

🤝 Start with one-on-one play dates
If groups feel overwhelming, smaller play dates can help children build confidence and connection.

✨ Respect the friend chemistry
Sometimes two children just don’t click. Personalities, energy levels and interests can clash, and there’s
no need to force a friendship.

Save this post for friendship-building ideas you can come back to anytime, and share it with a fellow
parent who's helping their little one grow social confidence. 🧩

Choosing a school is about more than finding care. ✨

It’s about finding a place where your child feels safe enough to explore and supported enough to try. A place where their teacher knows their favorite story, where friendships turn classmates into lifelong memories, and where confidence grows with every "I did it!" 🫶

The moment a child figures out something new — really figures it out — their whole face changes. That's one of the many moments that make each day so special.

That's life with us. Joyful mornings, purposeful play and the kind of learning that comes home with them. Teachers at Primrose schools nurture curiosity, creativity, confidence and compassion from the very start. 🌱

What's a moment from this week that stopped you in your tracks? 👇

Sometimes what children say sounds funny, but what they really mean is love. 💗

These little observations are their way of noticing the care, effort and heart moms pour into everyday moments, even if the words come out a bit differently.

Take a moment to celebrate the moms who do big things, little things and everything in between out of love.

It was an underwater adventure today in the Toddler room! 🌊🐟

We talked about who lives in the water and then practiced our drawing skills with some ocean-themed art.

We have some very talented little illustrators in the making! 🐳

Our Kindergarten classroom is stating the new year off with a bang!!! Today in Kindergarten the children practiced math concepts by counting to answer the “how many?” questions about items arranged in various ways. They printed upper and lowercase letters legibly and composed and decomposed numbers from 11 to 19 into tens and ones by using objects and drawings. They also connected number words and numerals to the quantities they represent, using various physical models and representations set out throughout the room.

Here's a peek into our wonderful Preschool classroom!!!

The children spent time exploring the concept of weight. They took turns using comparative vocabulary, such as "heavy" and "light," as they predicted the weight of various materials found inside the classroom.

It was wonderful to see them engaging with these concepts and practicing their observation skills.

Our private kindergarten students and teachers did an amazing job with their Thanksgiving play. The students worked really hard to perfect their lines, and the costumes and set design were pure perfection. We are so proud of our Kindergarteners for their dedication and outstanding performance.
