We have changed our hours today from our previous post and are opening earlier at 11AM today instead of 1PM.

The general Smyrna area looks very good. The only problems I encountered were minor patches of ice in low laying areas that were heavily shaded. It looks like in our area the winds beat the temperature drop and dried out most of the remaining standing water.

If I have a word of caution then it would be later tonight after the sun sets and things get colder without direct sunlight. There's a lot of water run off from roofs on the retail buildings. That's likely to refreeze and lead to weird long patches of ice in parking lots in some areas, so be aware of that.

Our store hours will be changing for the weather event Atlanta is having:

Saturday: we will close at 5PM.
Sunday: Closed
Monday: Open at 1PM. (depending on road conditions.)

With the recent info available, we've made the decision to cancel all events including the Lorcana Set Championship event for Saturday 1/24/206.

We will reschedule the event for sometime in February and post it on the schedule.

The store will be closing early on Saturday at 5PM.

We will be making a decision about store hours for Sunday early tomorrow evening.

With the Winter Storm moving into north Georgia on Saturday evening, I think it's prudent to plan to close early on Saturday evening and likely be closed on Sunday depending on the amounts of ice Metro Atlanta will receive.

I'm going to wait until tonight to make a final decision as there's a lot of questions about whether a warm air buffer will keep temperatures over our area high enough that it won't be a problem until late Saturday into Sunday.

That being said, I'll be talking with Caleb later today about the Lorcana Set Championship event. Caleb travels in from Gwinnett and I'm hesitant to have him traveling after it ends to head back home. Given what the forecast is currently saying, we could be seeing problems early enough east of our store location that traveling for him could be touchy even before the event would end. I'll likely just have him stay home on Saturday all together and we'll cancel the event.

As always, our concern is with the safety of our customers and staff and we'll let everyone know our final decisions later today once the 48 hour before the Winter Storm event locks in the best information on it.

In the meantime, the shop is open normal hours and we're going to be having a Graphic Novel and Board Game sale so that folks will have something to keep themselves occupied as they stay home and keep safe.

From today until close on Saturday, all Board Games and Graphic Novels are 20% off. So come by while you're getting your winter prep on and we'll set you up with some entertainment.

Hello everyone! It is my pleasure to announce the return of RPG Demo Weekends!

RPG Demo weekends are designed to bring attention to all sorts of different RPGs by running sessions for them. This event is open to the public and anyone can participate.

The next RPG Demo Weekend will take place in February, on Saturday the 21st, and Sunday the 22nd. I will be asking for volunteers to run games and I myself will also be running something on both days. I will be posting the schedule for the event here and on our discord, and I will update them as games get added.

The only games that will not be run are Dungeons and Dragons and Pathfinder. The reason for this is nothing against those two games. Quite the opposite, as they are the two most successful games in the industry right now. These events are designed to showcase lesser known games, games that you might not have even heard of before now.

On the 21st, games will run at various times between 12pm and 8pm. On the 22nd, they will run between 12pm and 6pm. People can drop in and out as they please, and you are encouraged to sample multiple games if you can.

I will be adding new games as I gather more volunteers. Watch this space for updates. Hope to see people come on by to check things out and have some fun.
