This one is an actual Daguerreotype of two of the most famous chroniclers of old world stories, Brothers Jacob and Wihelm Grimm. Born in 1785 and 1786, they were legal scholars, also professors and librarians. Hansel and Gretel, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow white are some most common fairy tales we know today. We received the Daguerreotype with its original leather and velvet box. Pictured below.

Born in America, these are children of Swedish pioneer families who built a life from the land. Skagit County, Washington. Around 1905. American-born, frontier-raised. Their parents saved up and spent plenty on a 19-inch hand colored oval portrait, a family's pride and joy. The original had been through some rough times, arriving in several pieces. Scanned, retouched and printed on archival paper.
