D-DAY REMEMBRANCE | JUNE 6, 1944 🇺🇸
On June 6, 1944, thousands of brave American soldiers landed on the beaches of Normandy, France, in one of the most courageous military operations in history. Facing relentless enemy fire, rough seas, and overwhelming obstacles, these heroes pressed forward with extraordinary determination and selfless courage. Many knew the dangers that awaited them, yet they advanced without hesitation, driven by a commitment to freedom, duty, and the hope of a better future for generations to come.

The success of D-Day marked a turning point in World War II and helped begin the liberation of Europe from tyranny. The sacrifices made on those beaches were immense, and countless soldiers gave their lives so that others might live in peace and freedom. Their actions demonstrated the true meaning of bravery—not the absence of fear, but the strength to move forward despite it.

Today, we pause to remember the heroes of
D-Day and honor their legacy. We reflect on the price they paid, the families who waited for their return, and the enduring values they fought to defend. Their courage changed the course of history, and their sacrifice continues to inspire generations around the world.
May we never forget the men who stormed the beaches of Normandy, the sacrifices they made, and the freedom they helped secure. Their legacy lives on in every generation that benefits from the world they helped shape.

Thank you, heroes. Your courage will never be forgotten, your sacrifice will never be erased, and your legacy will endure forever. 🇺🇸🕊️

Jamie Boles, Lee Setzer, Gus Gomez, and Ryan Jacobson attended the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast this morning, co-hosted by Saint Luke United Methodist Church and the Sanford Area Growth Alliance. Keynote speaker was Hamer Carter of Outreach Mission, Inc.

On National Firefighter's Day, we would like to honor and thank all in our local community and beyond who so selflessly and courageously serve. We would like to extend a special thanks for those firefighters, past and present, that are part of the Boles Funeral Home family: Jamie Boles, Glenn Boles, Buddy Hanna, Mike St. Onge, Len Murray, Austin Hubbard, Robbie Barber, Slade Musick, Jordan Smith, Tim Smith, Chase Setzer, Chad Goodwin, JR Southers, JJ Southers, Jimmy McCaskill, David Savage, Asa Bailey, Patricia Harrison, Wade Garner and Bonnie MacDonald.

Ryan was raised in Cameron, NC and a 1999 graduate of Union Pines High School. He graduated Cum Laude in 2003 from N. C. State University with a degree in Business Management concentration human resources. He is also a 2004 graduate of Fayetteville Technical Community College with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Funeral Service. He is also a certified celebrant. He is married to Jennifer Jacobson and resides in Pinehurst, NC, with their awesome 14-year-old son, Wells. "It is my duty to serve each family with dignity, compassion and sincerity. Every individual that is entrusted into our care deserves to be remembered, no matter the scale". Ryan enjoys tennis, exercising and spending time with friends and family. 🤗
