Consider a few things when walking your dog, how hot the daytime is, the length of walk you plan on taking, and whether your path has ample shade. Texas can hit triple digits day. Therefore, you might consider a morning or a nighttime walk.
Also, the breed and whether your pet has long or short hair affects how long or how often you should walk your companion.
All things considered, some cardio is better than no cardio. Active pets benefit from stronger muscle, a deeper bond with their owner(s), and improved mobility compared to a sedentary lifestyle.
