Salem State University Library

Congratulations to the Salem State University Archives and Special Collections for receiving the Bowditch Award! Historic Salem, Inc. recently awarded this honor in recognition of the Archives’ efforts to preserve and digitize photographs that document the greater Salem community. There’s much more to come!

Library visitors in September had a lot of ideas to share regarding self-care habits. Check it out!

Stop by the Berry Library's haunted Help Desk to participate in our October interactive Halloween display!
The library ghosts have taken the books from the stacks, and each book has a library related question. Choose a book, bring the book to the front desk, and ask a staff member the question. Learn something new, complete your research, and receive some candy!

The Salem State Series was founded in 1982 under the auspices of the Salem State University Alumni Association and Foundation, Inc. as one of the first high-profile speaker series in the country. The event has hosted countless world leaders, artists, athletes, and intellectuals.
With the next Series event fast approaching we turned to the Salem State University Archives and Special Collections to take a look back at a previous Presidential speaker in the Series, President Gerald R. Ford who came to Salem State for the start of the Series in 1982.

September brings the excitement of a new semester and the stress that goes with this. This month the IDEA Den is focused on the value of having a strong sense of self and a routine of self care.
Stop by for a rest in this cozy corner of the library and check out some of the books, or visit the display online and try an ebook or audiobook.
