Ten years from now, what will Provo’s economy look like, and what could we be doing today to shape it?

That's what the City’s Economic Development Strategy Study aims to answer.

With consulting group Civic Solutions, we’ve assembled a steering committee of industry leaders to examine Provo's competitive strengths, and identify opportunities for growth and investment.

Residents will also have opportunities to weigh in through public open houses and other activities.

The result will be a 3-year action plan and 10-year roadmap to guide the future of Provo’s economic development.

Almost 44% of Provo residents are college students. Council decisions on everything from housing to parking affect them, yet student voices are often underrepresented.

That's why we're coming to you.

The Council is partnering with BYU Office of Civic Engagement to hold a student town hall on November 5th at 7pm in the Herald R. Clark Building on Campus Drive. Your questions and feedback will help guide City Council priorities and policies that make life in Provo better for students!

Councilor Katrice MacKay powered up at the Public Power Celebration—literally, by climbing up a power pole, one of the many fun activities at this annual event by Provo’s Power Department.

Council staff also chatted with residents about the new outdoor lighting standards, which will help keep our skies dark, our streets safer, and your neighbor's porch light out of your bedroom window.
