SO. MUCH. FLUFF!

Our first Kitten Yoga event at AnyaFoto was a HUGE success!

Adorable kittens everywhere, lots of laughter, yoga, beautiful portraits, and coffee that was seriously SO delicious!

I think everyone fell in love with at least one kitten. How could you not?!

WHO WANTS ROUND TWO?! 🐱

“I’m not photogenic.” “I always feel awkward in pictures.”

I hear this from women all the time.

She came in to celebrate her 40th birthday and do something just for herself. Like so many women, she was nervous about being in front of the camera.

But listen to how she felt AFTER her session!

You don’t need to know how to pose. You don’t need to be photogenic. That’s my job. I’ll guide you through everything, and somewhere along the way, you’ll forget you were ever nervous.

And judging by these photos, I’d say she absolutely nailed it.

If you’ve been waiting to feel more confident in front of the camera, maybe this is your sign.

UNFILTERED.

An artist came into my studio with a vision. She wanted to create a collection of paintings using portraits of herself, but she also wanted to be photographed exactly as she is.

I suggested we leave her body completely unretouched. No smoothing, no reshaping, no changing anything.

This was a deeply personal session. I guided her through the poses, but I also had to know when to step back and give her space to experience each moment without constantly adjusting her.

We slowed down. We took our time. And we created something that felt very different from a typical portrait session.

Those photographs are now becoming a collection of 12 paintings, which will be exhibited at my studio next November.

I’m looking forward to seeing her vision come together.

“You don’t have to love your body”

You can appreciate your body and still have things you’d change.

You can feel confident one day and insecure the next.

Both can be true.

The goal isn’t to convince yourself that you’re perfect. It’s to stop believing you need to be.

There will always be a reason to wait.

Five more pounds. A quieter month. More confidence. A better time.

But I hear one thing from women after their shoot far more than anything else:

“I wish I did this sooner.”

For most of her life, she believed her body wasn’t good enough.

Then, for her 50th birthday, she decided to do something just for herself. A bo***ir session.

She told me she had never felt so beautiful, so comfortable, or so seen.

And her only regret? That she didn’t do it sooner.

That part stayed with me.

Because how many of us spend years waiting to lose weight, feel more confident, or finally be happy with what we see in the mirror?

You don’t have to wait until you love every inch of yourself to deserve beautiful photographs.

You deserve to see yourself this way right now. ❤️
