Go Dogs! Omaha

Another successful AKC agility is in the books & I cannot thank everyone involved enough. First and foremost, the trial committee: Tony Hyatt: course builder & truck driver, Renee Osborn and Diane Lamb: volunteers coordinators, Darla Hook: hospitality, and Chelsea Kardell : ribbons and awards. These are kind of thankless jobs and these guys always step up and do an amazing job. Our terrific volunteers - thank you so much!!! And the awesome group of folks who came back to the garage to unload the truck at the end of a very long weekend.

Helpers needed!!!! We should be done today by around 4:15 so can use helpers to load the truck at Omaha Sports Complex 144th & Giles.
The truck should be at the garage at Go Dogs to unload around 5:15 or 5:30. If something changes a lot, I will let you know. $10 cash to everyone who shows up at the garage and 2 hours of volunteer time even if it only takes 1 hour.

Are you and your dog training for Beginner Novice, Novice or Graduate Novice Obedience and want some extra practice?

GoDogs is offering a Show N Go (Fun Match) on Tuesday October 20th starting ay 6:30pm.

We would like the BN dogs to go first and then the Novice and followed by the Grad Novice.

Cost is $12.00 for general public or $10.00 for a Member in Good Standing with the club. Pre-registration is required to ensure we don’t have too many dogs at once.

Depending on how many people we get, we plan to do 2 runs each.

Mary Ruhe and Jen Howell will be there to video your runs and give suggestions if desired. (Participants should be familiar with the general AKC rules regarding the class they are entering.)

Volunteers needed this afternoon at Omaha Sports Complex at 144th & Giles. Please consider donating some time to volunteer at our agility trial today. We will really need volunteers around 3:00 - 5:00 with the end of the day classes and loading the truck with equipment and then unloading at the garage at Go Dogs. These trials are money makers for us and help us pay the bills so we need your help to continue to hold them. Thank you!!!

This is a reminder that we will need help unloading agility equipment at the garage tomorrow after the trial. I will send an email tomorrow when we have a better idea of the time. Remember - $10.00 cash & it counts toward your hours. It’s an automatic 2 hours even if it doesn’t take that long!!!

Huge thank you to a Mary Ruhe for organizing and running the Obedience Show and Go last night. It’s so valuable to have a “trial-like” experience and learn where we need improvement. (Yes she had her pencil to the clipboard in this photo…we deserved it!). Looking forward to more of these and hope that you will join us!

Thank you to all who came out to our club cleaning today! Bob and Julie did an amazing job on the outside and the rest of us worked on the inside. The building now smells and looks so clean!
