I don't know how to help Gaza, I'm nobody. But I'm somebody with 100 shiny bike racks. So I'm holding a no reserve auction for one rear rack worth $200 and sending all of the funds to the Gaza Soup Kitchen. I wanted to raise money for a bike charity like world bicycle relief if they ever make it to Palestine, or the Gaza Sunbirds (check them out) and I still intend to do that, but the need for food aid is more immediate so that's where I'm showing up. Children are starving right now, and we can do something small about it. $200 is twenty mouths fed at current prices.

I grew up in the Middle East and have some thoughts on the depersonification that underlies every genocide ever committed, but I won't bore you with that. I would love to do my part to share gazan stories in order to repersonify these peoples to my American audience. I follow and support accounts like hamza Gaza skater who donated good job of that. But I wanted to do something more like direct aid where it's needed most. I'm nobody; some days I'm less than nobody because I'm kind of disabled. I don't have a lot of means or social presence. But what I do have is 100 super shiny bike racks. So I'm going to donate one to raise funds for the Gaza soup kitchen. I originally wanted to raise funds for a bicycle program like the Gaza sunbirds (paralympic cycling team) who will have many new team members due to the actions of the IDF... And I will still do this in the future. But the more pressing need right now is food. Children are starving; without calories, victims cannot heal their wounds. I'm hoping to raise $200 for Gaza but I will take whatever we can get. Peace and grease, Dave

First year of the rockhopper. This was meant to be a catch and release, but it's my size, so I'm going to keep it as a city bike. I'll need both locks on the mean streets of Davis California (I moved).

Been on the hunt for some bullmoose bars when I found most of a 1985 rockhopper. This was the first year of the rockhopper and is a nice bike to own as it is in my size. I tried to do a full rak-lok build but my 45mm crown bolts disappeared so this will only get a rear rack for now.

You can fit a basket to your rak-lok without interfering with the lock.

2003 bianchi denali with rear rak-lok. Most mountain bikes have no space for a lock on the frame. Rak-lok gives you a secure space to mount your lock outside of the frame while doing double duty as a cargo carrying device. I also use my hard tail in the city, so I need a lock most of the time. If I'm just riding dirt I can leave my lock at home, but I rarely do.

The strongest way to mount a rack always uses a triangle. My rear rak-lok comes with 6 struts and 6 darumas bolts and can hold me, a 170 pound person in a 200 pound body.
