🌸 Chico Chi 朱 Eli is a q***r, nonbinary transmasc DJ, producer and creative whose DJ journey began right here in Oakland, creating safer spaces for q***r and trans people of color through Hunnies & Hot Sauce.

Their sets move across genres and time zones, blending global sounds, nostalgia, original edits and unexpected mashups into a whole journey.
They’re also the cofounder of Tender Bois Club and a resident DJ and organizer of Take Flight, a global music party based in the Twin Cities.

Look who popped in with some tropical love for our 15th! Our longtime friend Christie James has shared the mic, the decks and plenty of good times with Soulovely over the years, and we loved getting this sweet message from her.

Christie James is a q***r Bay Area radio personality, DJ, voice actor and event host who has been rocking the airwaves and dance floors for over two decades. She’s brought the vibes to SF Pride, Oakland Pride, the Oakland A’s, Golden State Valkyries and beyond.

Born in Iraq and raised in San Francisco, Ahmed has been moving Bay Area dance floors since 2004 with a global mix of Arabic, Persian and South Asian sounds, hip hop, pop and beyond.

Soulovely Founder LadyRyan shares from the heart about a hard decision we’ve had to make. We dreamed BIG for our 15th anniversary, but ticket sales and sponsorship haven’t met the high costs of producing the festival at Snow Park, so we had to pivot.

And hunnies … shifting a dream we’ve poured so much love, labor, money, and hope into is humbling.
