Q-Team Tree Service

🚛 Safety is everyone’s responsibility.

On Friday, September 18, Q-Team Tree Service held an All Hands Safety Day focused on keeping our trucks, our employee-owners, and our community safe. 🌲

A big thank-you to the Maine State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit for visiting our headquarters and providing hands-on information about truck safety, DOT requirements, and safe operating practices. 👮‍♂️

We appreciate the time, knowledge, and practical guidance they shared with our team. Every lesson helps us build a stronger culture of safety—on the job, on the road, and in the communities we serve. 🦺

Don't go to bed with blunt teeth.

Yesterday was a GEMBA day with the Q-Team Tree Service crew — which, if you know me, is pretty much my happy place.

Hard hat on. Boots on. Out where the work is actually happening.

You can learn a lot about a business sitting around a conference table. But you learn something entirely different when you follow the work.

I want to see it.

Where does the crew get what they need? What happens when they arrive at the job? What slows them down? What makes their job easier? Where does information get lost? And most importantly — what do the people doing the work have to say about it?

That’s GEMBA. Go see.

Not “go see so I can tell everyone what they’re doing wrong.”

Go see so I can observe, listen, ask questions, and understand.

Because the process someone describes in the office and the process that actually happens in the field aren't always the same thing. And you can't improve a process you don't understand.

This is one of my favorite parts of Boots on the Ground work.

Sometimes business coaching requires a whiteboard.

Sometimes it requires a hard hat.

I prefer the hard hat. 😉

We had a couple of visitors in our woodyard today.

🏆 We Did It Again! Thank You, Windham Eagle 🌲

Q-Team Tree Service is honored to once again be recognized in the Windham Eagle Choice Awards!

This recognition means so much to our entire team because it comes from you — our community.

For decades, our neighbors have trusted Q-Team to care for their trees and properties. We never take that trust for granted. Our commitment has always been to provide safe, professional, quality tree care while taking care of the people and communities we serve.

To everyone who voted for us, recommended us, called us when you needed help, or trusted our crews on your property — thank you.

And a huge thank you to our Q-Team employee owners who show up every day committed to safety, quality, and taking care of our customers.

We’re proud to serve this community, and even prouder that you continue to choose Q-Team. 🌲💚
