Halloween is tomorrow, and the team at EARTHWORKS got in the spirit this week with our annual pumpkin carving contest.

Thank you to everyone who picked up a carving knife and brought their creativity to the office. Every pumpkin on the table showed real effort, and the judging was so close that we ended up with a tie for first place.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and once again we’re counting our blessings and looking for ways to share them.

The EARTHWORKS Group is proud to team up with Murrells Inlet First Baptist Church for their 13th annual Thanksgiving Blessing. Working alongside local schools and organizations, this ministry makes sure families in our community have a Thanksgiving meal on the table.

Meals will be provided on the Friday before Thanksgiving, and we’d love your help filling the boxes. Donations can be dropped off at our office through November 11.

Most needed:
• Stove Top stuffing mix
• Macaroni and cheese
• Cranberry sauce
• Green beans (family size)
• Corn (family size)
• Instant mashed potatoes
• Gravy (jar or packet)
• Monetary donations for turkeys, pies, and bread

This past Wednesday, we celebrated the groundbreaking of Marlowe Village with Habitat for Humanity of Horry County. We’re proud to be part of this 24-home neighborhood and the families who will soon call it home.

Today we wrapped up our 50/50 raffle for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Thank you to everyone who participated!

This year, The EARTHWORKS Group is doing our part by donating to Susan G. Komen, supporting those who have been diagnosed with, are battling, or are recovering from breast cancer. Komen also provides educational resources on early detection and the signs and symptoms of the disease.

Congratulations Tammie Bell Emory for winning the 50/50 raffle, and to Steve Strickland for having the closest guess on the plastic beads jar.
