East Midvale Elementary

Happy Fall Break! 🍃🍂🍁 School will be back in session next Monday. Have a much needed break, Eagles!

4th grade had a sunny field trip up at Olympic Park!

Today, our school welcomed two well known children’s book authors-Thal Dixon & Brandon Mull-who got to speak to our students! A big thank you to R. Harold Burton & Intermountain Community Care Foundation for sponsoring this author visit and providing autographed books for every student in our school. Brandon Mull

It’s Red Shoes Friday and our recipients for this week are our very own Ms. Meere, Ms. Kida, and Ms. Mcintosh ☺️ They are a part of our and you will always find them booked and busy with celebrations, check-ins, check-outs, and just exuding the best vibes all around our school. We appreciate their hard work and dedication to our learning community.

Shout out to all the 2nd grade parents who joined their students in the classroom today. These parents, along with fifth grade students, were learning partners
in teaching literacy and math games. All second grade students went home with learning packets with instructional videos. East Midvale is asking parents to be part of the team working on building and practicing skills for academic growth success.

What is Reflections? Reflections is a national arts program where students can express themselves through art! This year’s theme is: What My Culture Means To Me. East Midvale students can create an original work and share what culture means to them.

We reached a DoJo milestone as a whole school for SOARing and so we got to add a little more “fun” to our Friday outfit. 😍🙌🙌 Check out the accessories & cool hats!

STUDENT COUNCIL is back in action with their Jr. Sandwich Service Project. They make PB&J sandwiches for the homeless shelter within our community. Our student leaders are so lucky to have Mrs. Williams and Ms. Gerrard as mentors this school year.
