What do you do when the top tier of your four-tier wedding cake was accidentally served instead of saved?? 😮 You order a mini cake to celebrate your first anniversary, of course! Luckily this one was decorated in the calm of my kitchen instead of a rained-out venue with hundreds of guests looking on as I pipe 😂 Happy 1st Anniversary R + S! 💕🎉

I’ll (almost) never say no to buttercream and fresh florals! And I think the sage green exterior was the perfect backdrop for those deep burgundy ranunculus 💕

Let’s do a little lesson here— fresh flower edition! When adding fresh florals, my preference is always to add to your existing floral order (whether it’s a wedding, birthday, or other occasion where flowers will be present in the room) so that everything matches in color and variety. When that’s not an option, it’s something I’ll need to source. The more variety or color, the higher the price tag. Just to buy the flowers for this cake (garden roses x 2 types, spray roses, tulips, ranunculus, lisianthus, orchids) was over $80. 😳 (oh, and that acrylic cake board? $30) Just waiting for the next one! 💕🍰🌹

There’s a lot going on in the world right now, so let me share something that brought me so much joy this weekend! Loving these shades of pink for a special Sweet 16 Birthday 💕🎂1️⃣6️⃣

Taking a look back at this 14” olive oil lemon cake from a gorgeous October 2025 wedding reception with and his team. Mascarpone frosting and fresh Black Mission figs from .g.berries (almost a full flat!) are all it needed for an unforgettable end to a delicious meal! 🍰

Without further ado, the second cake of 2026! Though to be fair, they both went out on the same date ( you will always be first in my book! 💕) More buttercream waves, please! 🍰✨

And now the first cake of the year 🥰 If 2026 is full of buttercream designs and fresh flowers, I’ll be a happy cake designer! Let’s do this! ☺️💕🌹💐🍰🎂 (shoutout to Michelle from for some gorgeous blooms)

And for the last cake of 2025, a little pink beauty 💗 (she’s gluten-free, too!)

It’s been an incredibly busy few weeks with no days off, but I couldn’t be happier with how this turned out! Stay tuned for bts and additional sweets shots ☺️🎂🎀

✨Well it’s finally here, the Sugar Studio Holiday Menu for 2025! ✨

*Just* in time for the last few nights of Hanukkah and Christmas Eve! ☃️🎄🕎🍰🎁 (better late then never, amirite? 😉) First pickup date is this Friday, 12/19 from my kitchen in Sherman Oaks. Message or email me to order! Happy Holidays to you all!

While final edits are happening on the 2025 Holiday Menu, I wanted to share a new offering for this year. These cute travel cakes are perfect— great for gifting, but small enough for enjoying on your own, too! Which is your favorite design? 🍰⛄️🎄🕎✨
