Library Craftivities brings it all: games, art, activities, and more!
Whenever school is out of session for our weekly After School Activities Program, we have Library Craftivities! During fall break, we competed in challenges like tiny pumpkin balancing and cup stacking, made fall-themed dot paintings, and tried out an agility course. There's always something fun to do at the Library!

The story of Pumpkin Jack starts with Ooey, Gooey, pumpkin guts!
Pumpkin Jack by Will Hubbell is a cozy book about the lifecycle of a jack-o-lantern, from getting carved, to being set outside, through all the stages of decomposition until a brand new pumpkin plant begins to grow. Now the Library Littles are following the story of their own Pumpkin Jack! The Littles helped us scoop out the pumpkins (and of course played with the guts - that's the best part of pumpkin carving!) and "Jack" and "Jill" are now on display in air-tight containers in the Library. Over the next few months, we'll watch and learn from the decomposition process, and hopefully in spring we'll be able to grow lots more Pumpkin Jacks!
