With decades of experience spanning OT, PT, Certified Hand Therapy, Vestibular Rehab and Dry Needling, we recognized a need for a specialized clinic that prioritizes comprehensive, personalized treatment, tailored to each patient's unique needs.
Five months of work—and her first day back en pointe!
Following a significant ankle injury involving the flexor hallucis longus (FHL) tendon, this dedicated ballerina has worked step by step to rebuild the strength, stability, balance, mobility, and confidence required to safely return to pointe shoes.
Dancing en pointe may look graceful and effortless, but it demands extraordinary strength and precise control throughout the feet, ankles, legs, and core. The FHL tendon plays an important role in big-toe control and push-off, making it especially relevant to pointe work. Returning safely requires much more than simply waiting for an injury to heal. It takes a carefully progressed rehabilitation program, clinical expertise, and an athlete who is willing to put in the work.
Today represents more than standing in pointe shoes—it represents five months of determination, patience, trust, and perseverance.
Helping athletes return to what they love is one of the most rewarding parts of physical therapy. We are incredibly proud of her and honored to be part of her comeback! 💪🩰

Sometimes the smallest tools can make a big difference!
This custom exercise splint was created from a small leftover piece of splinting material—but it has a very important job. Following a significant finger injury, it provides support while giving the patient a clear, measurable target to work toward during range-of-motion exercises.
As movement improves, the patient can see and feel their progress—making each repetition more purposeful and motivating.
Hand therapy is not always about expensive equipment. It’s about creativity, clinical expertise, and designing the right tool for the individual patient. ✋
Custom splints and exercises should only be used as directed by a qualified healthcare professional.

Grandparents give us so much—wisdom, encouragement, unconditional love, and memories that last a lifetime. But did you know that spending time with grandchildren can also support a grandparent’s physical health?
Regular activities such as walking to the park, playing together, or helping with everyday care can keep older adults more active, mobile, and less sedentary than their non-caregiving peers.
This Grandparents Day, we celebrate the special bond between grandparents and grandchildren—and all the ways that connection keeps both the heart and body moving. ❤️
Happy Grandparents Day from all of us at Prestige Hand & Physical Therapy!
Today, we pause to remember the lives lost, the heroes who ran toward danger, and the countless families forever changed on September 11, 2001.
May we never forget the courage, sacrifice, and unity that emerged from one of our nation’s darkest days.
We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

As an OT, CHT, one of my favorite places to find therapy tools? The impulse section by the checkout! 🥕🐰
This little carrot toy has a bunny that pops out with just the slightest amount of pressure—making it a fun and rewarding way to work on finger flexion, grip, coordination, and gaining those last few degrees of active range of motion.
As a Certified Hand Therapist, I’m always looking for creative ways to make repetitive movement more motivating. Sometimes the best “therapy equipment” isn’t expensive or complicated—it’s a simple toy that gives the patient immediate feedback and a reason to keep moving.
