"Tortise Bathes At Sunrise"

This size Large - XL cotton skirt has 9 rows of ribbons and appliqué black wave designs with an appliqué turtle 🐢. This skirt depicts an Arizona desert tortoise taking a bath in the river at sunrise with the sunrise colored ribbons in maroon, red, orange, yellow, and turquoise. This skirt also has pockets on the sides.

This skirt was made last year for the 2025 Arizona State Fair, and it won a 1st place blue ribbon for Best Women's Skirt.

Today's creation is this custom O'odham skirt & blouse. Made for a high school graduate. It has already been sold. The satin outfit has yellow river and basket designs that represent the man in the maze, squash blossom & whirlwind.

I am now accepting $100 deposits for SPRING 2026 GRADUATION ORDERS.

A lil explanation:

The $100 gets applied to your deposit. Let's pretend your grand total for your order is $300. The $100 fall deposit isn't necessary. It secures your spot on my list next year and gets applied to your order.

So what would happen is: you'd pay $100 now, I put you on my list for next year, you're guaranteed to get your order done. And then in January- March, we talk and design your order and with the grand total being $300, the 2nd payment would be $100 to get the order started and then when it's ready for pick up or shipment in April - June the last payment would be $100 before its sent out or picked up.

I understand that times are hard, and I'm working on finding new creative ways to lower costs on my items and help at home sewers express cultural pride. I haven't changed my prices in over a decade, and I think I'm finally ready to, but I'm looking at LOWERING my prices.

I love my job, and I'm so proud of all our graduates, I spend my career helping you prepare for the next great phase of your lives and I don't want money to get in the way of that. I'm a creative person, and I'm up for the challenge. I have some good friends and some good networking done, and I have faith in the next phase of my company. I just need a lil patience, and I hope to see yall at my next fashion shows so I can show you what the new looks are like in real life. I'm a lil nervous, yall might not be down! 😆 but I have faith that things will go well.
