Design First Builders

Who needs to go out when you have a basement like this?

Design First Builders recently wrapped up this basement remodel IN Roselle, Illinois, and what a transformation! From the custom bar to the pool table and cozy seating area, this space has everything you need for a great night at home.

A few of our favorite details:
A custom bar with plenty of seating
A dedicated pool table area
A comfortable lounge for movie nights and hanging out
Rich wood tones, deep blue walls, and lighting that really brings the whole space together

Whether it's game day, a night with friends, or just relaxing at the end of a long week, this basement is ready for it all.

**Thinking about doing something with your own basement?** We'd love to help you turn that unused space into something you'll actually love spending time in!

Send Design First Builders a message and let's talk about your project!

Great homes start with great people, and we’re lucky to have some of the best in the business! 🏡

From the first design concept to the final details, our team is passionate about creating spaces that feel like home. We believe the best results come from collaboration, craftsmanship, and a commitment to getting the details right.

Thinking about your next home project? Let’s make something extraordinary together!

What happens when you take a group of designers out of the showroom and put them inside a cabinet factory?

You get a whole new appreciation for what goes into the products we design with every day.

This year we made the bold decision to introduce our current and future clients to Bridgewood Cabinetry and continue our drive to provide top of the line products.

Members of the Design First Builders team visited the Bridgewood Cabinet plant for some hands-on, in-person training and a behind-the-scenes look at how their cabinetry is actually made.

Because great design isn't just about knowing what looks good. It's about understanding the product, how it's built, and why those details matter.

A little education, a lot of craftsmanship, and a pretty cool look behind the scenes.

Thanks to the Bridgewood team for welcoming us in and giving us a closer look at what goes into the cabinets we specify for our clients.

Your house has been dropping hints. 👀

That bathroom faucet has been “temporarily” leaking since 2022.

The kitchen cabinet door has been hanging on by one hinge and sheer determination.

And that basement ceiling? Let’s just say it has seen things.

You keep telling yourself:

“We’ll remodel it eventually."

Eventually has entered the chat. 😂

At Design First Builders, we believe your home should work for the way you actually live, not the way you lived 15 years ago.

Whether you're dreaming about a new kitchen, a bathroom that doesn't feel like a time capsule, a finished basement, an addition, or a complete transformation, our team can help take it from “We should really do something about this…” to “Why didn't we do this sooner?”

Design. Build. Remodel. Love your home again.
