Association of American Railroads traffic figures for the week ending October 3 reflect an uptick in volumes year-over-year for carloads and intermodal units. The week 29 cumulative total volume was 19,988,290, a 3.5% increase year-over-year.

The Association of American Railroads reported rail traffic was 535,663 carloads and intermodal units for the week ending Sept. 19, 2026.
