Our aircraft can run on any energy source. ⚡️

Our Fluidic Propulsive System® (FPS®) runs on compressed air. A compressor makes that air, and either a turbine or an electric motor can drive the compressor, so changing the energy source requires no change to the thrusters.

Today a turbine drives the compressor on jet fuel or diesel, because a kilogram of jet fuel delivers more than 50 times the usable energy of a kilogram of modern lithium-ion batteries, 21 times if you consider its conversion to actual propulsion. That gives our aircraft far greater range and endurance than batteries allow today, enabling more efficient flight as it becomes lighter and land without carrying a massive amount of batteries. As batteries improve, an electric motor can take the turbine’s place, and every advance in energy storage can become an upgrade in our next aircraft.

Investors have asked recently whether they can invest in Jetoptera with an IRA. A self-directed IRA makes that possible.

Wefunder works with several custodians, including , , and , and accepts IRA investments starting at $1,000. Funding averages 5 to 7 business days once documents are submitted and approved, and our round is closing soon, so we recommend starting now.

Every investor who commits $5,000 or more in our current round will receive an embroidered Investor Edition Jetoptera hat!

The hat is a navy blue cap with the Jetoptera logo across the front and “Investor Edition” embroidered on the side. The hat joins the two investor perks already on our page: dinner with our CEO at $25,000 and an invitation to witness a test flight at $100,000.

Our vision of bringing bladeless aircraft to our skies has never been closer to becoming reality. Someday, when you spot one of these caps at an airport, you’ll know the person wearing it backed bladeless flight early.

Last Thursday, a Tesla Roadster drove upside down, then jumped a line of parked Teslas. Congratulations to the Tesla and SpaceX team on a spectacular demo!

The Roadster and our Fluidic Propulsive System® both put compressed air to work, though they use it in very different ways. Tesla carries 600 liters of air stored in advance at very high pressure. Our FPS® makes its compressed air in flight with a turbofan. Our full analysis explains what that difference means for how long thrust lasts, how loud it gets, and what an aircraft has to carry.

Natural Disasters Expo USA is underway in Houston, and Jetoptera is at Booth 524 right now.
Disaster relief is one of the reasons our CEO, Andrei Evulet, co-founded Jetoptera.

When the Kathmandu earthquake struck in April 2015, most roads and runways were ruined, and high winds made airdrops of emergency supplies impossible. Trucks full of supplies were stranded at the bottom of the mountains.

Responders who reach an area within the first 48 hours can save lives, deliver medicine and food, evacuate the wounded, and contain hazards.

Helicopters are the obvious answer, since they land without a runway. In Kathmandu, only a few could deliver life-saving assistance to remote sites, held back by the wind and weather. Helicopter speed is also limited, and exposed rotors make landing near people and rubble hazardous.

Jetoptera’s Fluidic Propulsive System® (FPS®) benefits from the vertical takeoff and landing capabilities of a helicopter and removes its limits.

In our tests, FPS valves adjust thrust in under 50 milliseconds, about ten times faster than rotor-driven aircraft respond, so an FPS aircraft can correct for a gust almost as soon as it hits. With no large rotors to limit speed, FPS aircraft fly 2-3X faster than helicopters, and with no exposed rotor they are safer to land near people and debris. In a disaster like Kathmandu, that means a faster, steadier flight to the mountaintops.

📍If you are in Houston for the Expo, stop by Booth 524. We are the only exhibitor presenting FPS.

Farmers are asking for the J-600 AG and J-900 AG. 🌾

Since we announced the J-600 AG and J-900 AG drones, our pre-order form has been inundated with requests from farmers and ag operators. Hundreds of aircraft have been requested, with numerous respondents requesting entire fleets.

Chinese manufacturers have supplied about 90% of the US spray-drone market, according to the American Spray Drone Coalition. US spray-drone sales fell almost 60% in 2025 after import restrictions on foreign shipments, and the FCC has stopped authorizing new foreign-made drone models.

We designed the J-600 AG and J-900 AG for that gap. Each is built to carry 2-3x more per load than the current options from the leading Chinese manufacturer.

Both of Jetoptera’s spray drones use our Fluidic Propulsive System®, with no rotor blades or propellers, which means safer, faster, cheaper operations and quieter skies for those living near farms. First deliveries are targeted for 2027, subject to regulatory approval and our development milestones.

If you are involved in agricultural operations, or know someone who is, join the waitlist at https://preorders.jetoptera.com/. Sharing this update with your network helps us reach more growers.

We just surpassed $5M raised!

We are thrilled to share this milestone and overwhelmed with gratitude at the continued support and belief in what we are building. More than 1,100 people have invested in the current round, including multiple repeat investors, bringing our total investor community to nearly 3,000 strong.

Every aircraft in our J-Series is designed around one objective: replace loud, dangerous, slow propellers with quiet, safe, fast, bladeless propulsion. Our Fluidic Propulsive System® generates thrust with directed airflow, making our aircraft ~30dBA quieter and enabling up to five times faster than bladed equivalents.

Crossing $5M speeds up the plan already underway: funding flight testing and the certification work to bring our first aircraft to market next year.

The round is quickly filling up, so if you haven't joined yet, or you're ready to grow your position, now is the time: wefunder.com/jetoptera

64 years ago this week, The Jetsons first aired on TV, set 100 years in the future in 2062. That got us thinking about how much of the show has actually come true. Video calls, wrist tech, flat-screen TVs, digital news, and robot vacuums are already part of everyday life.
One big big way the Jetsons were ahead of today’s world is the flying car. There were no visible rotors, no exposed blades, just a clean little vehicle that lifted off and cruised through the sky, quiet, safe, fast, and convenient. That's the version of flight everyone actually wants.
That's the version we're building too. Our Fluidic Propulsive System® replaces spinning rotors with a jet of accelerated air, producing aircraft that are 2 to 3 times faster and 40 decibels quieter than a helicopter doing the same job, with less upkeep since there's no spinning blade to maintain.
The Jetsons pictured this future in 2062. We're targeting 2028 for the two-seat J-2000, and 2029 for the four-seat J-4000 that can fit the whole Jetson family.
One caveat: our aircraft will not automatically fold up into a briefcase for you to carry around. We’re working on one technological advancement at a time. 🙂

What does it take to end the age of the spinning rotor?

For our founder and CEO, Dr. Andrei T. Evulet, it started with a childhood dream to build airplanes and a garage in Ohio, where he put years of aerospace engineering experience, including leading technology integration on GE's GE9X turbofan engine, to the test.

That idea became a company in 2015, after an earthquake leveled Kathmandu and left people stranded beyond the reach of rescue aircraft. Andrei and his co-founders Denis Dancanet and Simina Farcasiu were inspired to build a fundamentally different way to fly to serve last mile disaster relief.

What resulted is the Fluidic Propulsive System® (FPS®), which replaces spinning blades with augmented air jets, eliminating the external rotor, the propeller, and the noise and hazards that come with them.

Here's how far that idea has come:
✈️ Pre-orders open for 5 types of FPS-powered aircraft, first commercialization targeting 2027: preorders.jetoptera.com
⚙️ 189+ granted patents
💰 $22M invested in R&D, $6.1M+ in revenue to date
