It's the thrill of a lifetime as Team Firebird's Duston Wurtz wins the NHRA Summit Super Pro National Championship in Las Vegas!!!

In an all-NHRA Northwest Division 6 final round, Duston defeated fellow division champion Daniel O'Connor by a razor-thin .002 of a second to claim the national title!

What an amazing accomplishment on drag racing's biggest stage for the 2026 World title.

Flashback Friday to the 2003 Nightfire Nationals and one of our all-time favorite Fuel Altereds!

From tire-blistering burnouts to header flames that left everyone thrilled and cheering at the top of their tonsils, few cars could put on a show quite like the legendary Marcellus & Borsch "Winged Express."

Behind the wheel at Firebird was none other than Mike Boyd, carrying on the wild tradition of one of drag racing's most iconic AA/Fuel Altereds.

What a sight. What a show. What a machine!

Tip of the hat to Tyler Hilton (AA/FD) and Nathan Sitko (AA/FC) for earning well-deserved national titles after a hard-fought season.

Both drivers have thrilled Firebird fans with their performances at our Heritage Series events, and it's especially rewarding to see these two talented racers reach the pinnacle of their respective categories.

Congratulations to Tyler, Nathan, their crews and everyone involved in these championship efforts. What a fitting way to cap off the 2026 racing season!

Another racing season in the books, and the Treasure Valley foothills are putting on quite a show as we close out our 58th year at Firebird.
