Measuring campaign success goes beyond just counting numbers of individuals and communities reached. A new resource from our Health Campaign Effectiveness Coalition offers a broader approach to evaluating health campaigns across five dimensions of success: acceptance, access, coverage, efficiency, and equity. Exciting news! We are thrilled to see this collaborative work from the public health Public Health Informatics Institute, a program of The Task Force for Global Health, and the CDC featured on the HHS Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) TRACIE website.
These resources are designed to help public health agencies strengthen critical mental well-being support systems and meet key preparedness standards for children and adolescents when it matters most.

We're proud to share that PHII's disaster-related child and adolescent mental health (CAMH) surveillance resources, developed in collaboration with CDC, are now featured on the HHS Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) TRACIE website. This recognition expands access to tools that help public health agencies strengthen surveillance efforts and support child and adolescent mental well-being before, during and after natural disasters. Aligned with CDC's Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) Response Readiness Framework Priorities, the resources can also help agencies meet 2024-28 natural disaster preparedness and response requirements. Disease surveillance saves lives. World Field Epidemiology Day is September 7th, and we celebrate the FETP-trained experts building, monitoring, and evaluating the early warning systems that keep disease outbreaks at bay. Many thanks to Dr. Reddy and the entire TEPHINET network for your essential work!
World Field Epidemiology Day is September 7! TEPHINET's Director, Dr. Reddy, says, "Invisibility is our strategy; protection is our proof. FETPs protect our communities from disease outbreaks by setting up, monitoring, and evaluating public health surveillance systems. Routine surveillance can detect early signs of an outbreak. This work happens out of public view and behind the scenes, carried out by dedicated FETP-trained professionals.

Flu season is right around the corner.
Seasonal influenza vaccination is one of the most important tools for protecting people from the flu, and strong vaccination programs do even more. The systems countries use to plan, deliver and monitor flu vaccines also strengthen their ability to respond when new health threats emerge.
Through the Partnership for International Vaccine Initiatives (PIVI), a The Task Force for Global Health program, countries are working year-round to:
- Expand access to seasonal influenza vaccination
- Strengthen vaccine delivery systems and healthcare worker protection
- Build sustainable national immunization programs
- Improve readiness for epidemics and pandemics
Preparing for flu season is about more than one season. It’s an investment in stronger health systems and healthier communities, year after year.
