It is our beloved Seth’s birthday today and he’s slinging drinks behind the bar!! We even heard him say “I wish for my birthday that everyone comes to Sceptre and drinks 100 b**rs”. Wow that would be really lovely. Happy birthday to one of the best bartenders on the planet!! 🎉🎉🥳🥳🥳🎊🎊

We are very happy to reintroduce our Oyster Stout, Blackmarsh, brewed in collaboration with our good friends and stellar Atlanta pop-up, ATL Shuck Boyz

Born out of a conversation over a few ales and la**rs about terroir in b**r and its understated importance, we feel this b**r is a true embodiment of the Southeast.

Brewed with roasted barley and specialty malts from Carolina Malt House we get a dense but palatable layer of dark chocolate and coffee balanced by some slight salinity and minerality attributed to a boatload of oyster shells harvested from the southeast. This all comes together in a quaffable 5% banger that pairs supremely well with the chilling weather.

Phantom Pizza debuts at Sceptre this week starting Tuesday and we’re super excited!! We’ll kick it of with Tuesday Trivia with Dirty South Trivia and Game night with ATLRPG Thanks for those who still came out to be a part of Oakhurst Porchfest on Saturday as it turned out to be a super fun day.

We’re starting off Sceptre Oktoberfest week the right with the release of:

Doppelbock - 7.5% ABV

Because it feels like you gotta uphill both ways to do anything these days. While not our focus, we truly adore brewing German style b**rs, and this strong amber l***r is one of our favorites to date. Expect huge malt complexity with notes of raisin and toasted bread coupled with a moderate vinous flavor (Shawn Knettel not included, be he will pour you one with love). It also pairs perfectly with every menu item that Beksa Lala brought us this week. We’ll be crushing this guy on the patio as we (hopefully) usher in the cooler weather and celebrate one of our favorite times of the year.
