The Saving Way - Decatur

Alabama weather loves to keep us guessing, but a good winter wardrobe never hurts. 🍂

Coats, sweaters, flannels, and boots are worth looking for now, before the first real cold snap hits and everyone’s reaching for the same layers. Give yourself time to browse and find a few good ones this week at The Saving Way!

October is full of reasons to stop by The Saving Way, and we love hearing when a visit to one of our stores hits the mark!

Desiree left this Google review for our Decatur store and gave a shoutout to the organized clothing racks, friendly staff, and prices that make shopping here worth it.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience, Desiree! And if you’re looking for your next thrift stop, we have five locations across North Alabama.

Meet Jessica, our Administrative & Meridianville Store Manager! 👋

Jessica has been part of The Saving Way team for over four years. She starts the day in the office, then heads out to walk the store and figure out what needs to happen next. Some days that means Production, and some days it means the dock, taking in donations.

She didn’t grow up thrifting, but she was raised to make every dollar count. Turns out that’s good training for a thrift store manager!

Ask her what she’s proudest of and won't hesitate to say her team. They work well together and work hard to support our mission supporting His Way Recovery Center.

When she clocks out, her kids get her full attention. Jessica is always working on being the best leader she can be and on being fully present wherever she is, whether that’s the store or the living room.

We’re lucky to have her! Say hi next time you’re in Meridianville.

Meet Nikki, our University Store Manager! 👋

Nikki has been with The Saving Way for over three years. Her mornings start with a quick huddle with her assistant managers so everyone’s on the same page. After that, you might spot her in Production, usually somewhere near the books, though the salesfloor is still her favorite place to be.

Ask her what she’s proudest of and she’ll tell you it’s The Santa Way. Her team goes all out for the holidays, even the small ones, so there’s always something fun going on at the University store. If you haven’t been yet, it’s open now! 🎄

When she’s not at work, Nikki is usually behind a camera. She loves photography and catching the little details in people, places, and everyday things.

What she loves most about the job is helping people grow into their potential, and knowing every donation and purchase supports His Way Recovery Center and gives someone a second chance. That part really is the heart of it.

We’re so glad to have Nikki leading the University team!

Old sweaters make great new pumpkins! 🎃

Grab a few cozy knits from The Saving Way and turn them into a whole patch of pumpkins. It’s a great weekend craft, and they're perfect for your fall shelves or tablescapes!
