Millikin University Wind Ensemble

Last Tuesday Millikin hosted about 120 high school musicians from almost 30 schools located across central Illinois to join us for the 2026 Millikin HS Honor Band. We had a chance to rehearse some excellent repertoire, including a new piece by Dr. Ben Horne, participate in masterclasses with Millikin faculty, and perform in a concert with the Millikin Symphonic Wind Ensemble. The energy throughout the day was extremely high and the level of talent within the band was exceptional. Thanks to everyone who came together to create such and exciting opportunity.

A peek into some of our sectional rehearsals from this afternoon!
