Macon County 4-H is for youth and volunteers who want to Make the Best Better in Macon County, Ill. What's the point of 4-H?
Great kids are those that exemplify the four H’s, and our mission is to make that happen! HEAD—Make sound decisions, set goals and stick with them until they are achieved, and have practical skills needed to lead a productive, fulfilling life. HEART—Act with integrity and accountability, and help others become their best. HANDS—Put the needs of the community before those of themselves, and serve others. HEALTH—Actively take care of their minds and bodies. Comments, links, photos, and videos are welcome on all University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign social media platforms. Comments or posts to University accounts can be removed for any of the following reasons, at any time and without notice, if they:
•are obscene, threatening, or harassing, as legally defined, or otherwise are not protected by the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution;
•disclose information that is private or confidential by law or regulation;
•promote or advocate illegal activity;
•violate copyrights or trademarks;
•violate applicable state or federal laws and regulations or University policies;
•are commercial advertising, unsolicited self-promotion, SPAM, or solicitations;

Registration closes on October 17!
Decatur Public School's are out on October 19. Bring the kids to this free 4-H workshop and make a beautiful handheld flower bouquet. We will also talk about Horticulture Project options and the many opportunities 4-H offers, including more horticulture workshops in 2027. Open to ages 8 to 14.

Has your club celebrated National 4-H Week by doing a community service project? We want to recognize your efforts, so be sure to take photos of your project and wear some green! Submit pictures by Oct. 12 to go.illinois.edu/4HHeart.

Come learn from an expert in the field the behind the scenes of cutting down trees. You'll see the equipment used and learn about the safety processes and discover how to connect this real life experience to the 4-H show. Ages 12 and up.
