Re-Bath Decatur

Stacey and Brian had put a lot of thought into their renovation and wanted to be sure they were making the right choice. Our team worked closely with them throughout the process, including coordinating with a trusted local company to handle the drywall work.

The result was a smooth, efficient remodel that came together on time and on budget, giving Stacey and Brian an updated space they can enjoy for years to come.

The ask here was a better functioning shower in the same space. The existing fiberglass unit had a built-in seat that wasn't being used often. Most homeowners tell us the built-in seats take away much wanted floor space and make the shower feel smaller than it actually is. Fiberglass units aren't flush with studs and take up even more space than necessary.

We took out the old one-piece unit, replaced it with a slightly bigger shower base (pulled out 2 inches into the bathroom), Durabath walls, new plumbing fixtures and accessories from Moen and a shower door. The homeowners were thrilled with the outcome.

Harold and Virginia were the kind of homeowners our team won’t soon forget.

After 64 years of marriage and 24 years in their home, they knew exactly where they wanted to stay. But with Virginia using a walker because of hip issues, stepping over the side of their fiberglass tub had become more difficult—and more of a safety concern.

Re-Bath helped make their bathroom work better for this next chapter with a comfortable walk-in shower, built-in seat, strategically placed grab bars and a handheld showerhead that’s easy to use while seated.

The result is a bathroom that feels safer, more comfortable and easier to navigate every day—helping Harold and Virginia continue enjoying the home they love with a little more confidence and peace of mind.

Break down the anatomy of a well-designed bathroom, and you’ll find it’s about much more than pretty finishes. It’s about making every inch work for you.

A smart layout makes the space feel more open, while ample storage keeps daily essentials organized and countertops clear. Easy-to-clean shower surfaces simplify daily maintenance, and thoughtful details (like a freestanding tub) bring a spa-like feel home without sacrificing functionality.

When these elements are planned together, the result feels intentional, comfortable, and elevated, yet fully practical for everyday life. Because true design excellence isn't just about how a space looks; it’s about how well it works for you 🏡

Which feature would make the biggest difference in your space: more storage, a smarter layout, easier-to-clean surfaces, or spa-like tubs? 👇

This project was a true team effort. While the homeowners took on the rest of the bathroom, Re-Bath focused on transforming the outdated fiberglass tub area into a fresh new focal point.

Our team installed a sleek DuraBath tub with white herringbone wall surrounds extending all the way to the ceiling, finished with black Moen fixtures for a clean, modern contrast.

The result is a brighter, more updated space—and a tub and shower area that feels right at home with the homeowners’ vision for the rest of the room.

Proof that luxury doesn’t always mean adding more ✨

Sometimes, it’s about making smarter choices with the space you already have.

A dated tub becomes a sleek, spacious shower. Marble-inspired finishes bring a fresh, elevated feel, while a glass door helps create a more open and inviting space. Thoughtfully placed shelving adds convenient storage to keep everyday essentials within reach. 🚿

Same bathroom. Completely different experience.

Would you make the same changes?
