Neranenah means "come together and sing" in Hebrew, and that's the whole idea. We're a cultural arts series rooted in Jewish music and tradition, bringing people from every background together through music, performance, and storytelling. 🎶
We honor tradition without being bound by it, and there's a seat for everyone. Follow along for concerts, stories, and the artists who shape Jewish music past and present.

Back-to-back! Last month, Noah Wyle won his second consecutive Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch in The Pitt. A big moment for a Jewish artist and for Jewish representation on screen. Congratulations, Noah!

This week's Jewish Artist of the Week is Leonard Cohen (1934-2016), poet, singer-songwriter, and novelist. 🎶
Cohen's work moved easily between the sacred and the secular, and "Who By Fire" is a perfect example. It draws on Unetaneh Tokef, the prayer recited during the High Holidays, and turns it into one of the most haunting songs in his catalog. A fitting listen as we close out this season. 🎧

Mazel tov to Georgian-Israeli composer Hana Ajiashvili, named a 2026 Azrieli Prize for Jewish Music laureate for her new composition, Riddle. The piece takes on persecution, memory, and resilience through a contemporary lens, and it's exactly the kind of work that shows how Jewish music keeps evolving. Congratulations, Hana!

Meet this week's Jewish Artist of the Week: Shalom Hanoch, singer-songwriter, composer, and guitarist, and one of the architects of Israeli rock. 🎶
Hanoch took rock and roll and made it speak Hebrew, blending it with poetry and sharp social commentary. "Mehakim LaMashiach" (Waiting for the Messiah) is a great place to start if he's new to you. Generations of Israeli musicians have followed his lead.
