I don't share my way of eating much with clients, and here's why:
What supports my body may not support yours.
Age, hormones, health history, stress, budget, and lifestyle all shape what your body needs from food.
My role is not to hand you my diet. It is to help you understand your body and build a way of eating that supports your health, preferences, and real life.

For women with a history of disordered eating, dieting, or body-image struggles, this season may reactivate behaviors they thought they had left behind.
Changes in eating, exercise, or body image deserve attention, especially when they begin to feel rigid, distressing, or difficult to control.
Support should address both perimenopause symptoms and your relationship with food.

Whether you’re packing school lunches or trying to avoid takeout at work, this simple formula makes it easier to build a balanced meal.
Mix-and-match foods your family already enjoys, use leftovers when possible. Including something fun can make a balanced lunch feel satisfying, not restrictive.

Weight is one piece of the picture, not the whole story.
A person can lose weight and still struggle with blood sugar, muscle loss, or abnormal labs, while someone in a larger body may have healthy markers.
That’s why I focus on better overall function, not just a lower number on the scale.

Freshly picked and bagged from our little garden at Freedom Reins.
Have more basil than you can use at once? Add it to eggs, tomato dishes, soups, dressings, or homemade pesto. You can also chop it and freeze it with a little olive oil in an ice cube tray for future meals.
Fresh herbs are one of the easiest (and budget-friendly) ways to add more plants and flavor without making meals complicated.

I often tell clients I would rather see them add more whole, minimally processed foods first, and worry about buying organic second.
A higher grocery bill does not automatically mean a more nourishing diet. Planning around versatile staples, choosing frozen or canned options, and using what you buy before it spoils can make healthy eating more realistic, affordable, and sustainable.

Feeling rested should not feel impossible.
Ongoing low energy may be your cue to look beyond your bedtime routine and explore what else could be affecting you.

I’m not here to make your body smaller at the expense of making your life harder. Especially with new clients.
I focus first on nourishment, blood sugar, digestion, sleep, stress, and the systems that help the body function well.
Weight loss can be a side effect of a body that is in balance.

Through my extensive research into epigenetics, one thing has become clear: genes can influence our health, but they do not act alone.
Your lifestyle and environment can influence how your genes are expressed.
Diabetes, cancer, and high blood pressure do not have to become your generational curse.
