The Official Camp Abbey Page

Last but not least…our final staff shoutout is our Administration!! 🩷 Our Admin dedicates more than just the month of July to this camp. It takes weeks of preparation before camp even starts. Our program directors make sure every schedule for everyday is planned perfectly, every activity, and everything that makes camp fun! Our JC Coordinators over see our Junior Counselor, working long days and nights, and doing all of the heavy lifting. Our Director and Assistant Director does everything in between, from over seeing our SC’s to making sure every camper is in the cabin they should be. Thank y’all for everything that you do, this camp truly would not be the same without them and is the reason why each camper and staff member loves this place so much!

Today’s staff shoutout is for our amazing girls in blue 💙💙💙 The senior counselors have spent 5 weeks of their summer pouring themselves into every camper they meet. Our SCs are often seen as our campers “moms” for the week as they care for the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of their campers. It is the selfless actions of the senior counselors that helps make Camp Abbey an experience of a lifetime for our campers. We truly would not be here without the dedicated commitment and sacrifice the senior counselors give each and every day. Thank you senior counselors for your selflessness and love to all those you meet, you are changing lives each and every day 💙💙💙

Our next staff group to shoutout is our extended staff💚 our extended staff consists of a variety of people who do many jobs throughout camp! Helping campers receive their medication, building fires, doing camp maintenance, helping with arts and crafts, managing canteen, helping campers experience the faith in a deeper way, and taking pictures are only the a few of the many jobs they do around camp! Our extend staff works hard behind the scenes to ensure Camp Abbey is an enjoyable experience for all. Our extended staff consists not only of the people pictured here but also various other people such as our nurses and alumnae. Thank you to our extended staff for your hard work 💚💚

As week 5 and Camp Abbey Girls Camp 2026 comes to a close in a few short days, we will take time throughout the week to shout out our amazing staff that help keep Camp Abbey the special place it is.

Today we will begin with our junior counselors.♥️ Our second session junior counselors began their time together during week 4. They joined us with a renewed faith and excitement in what was ahead. They have lifted us up and have been a big piece of the joy that Camp Abbey runs on. Their job requires immense selflessness and sacrifice, traits that the JCs do not seem to lack. They put their heart into everything they do. Without our junior counselors Camp Abbey would not be the place it is known for.

Thank you junior counselors for your tireless devotion to the mission of Camp Abbey. You are seen, known, and loved by all ♥️♥️♥️

And just like that we are at the end of week 4!! 🥹What an amazing week of making memories that will last a lifetime 🩷⛱️☀️🌅
