Prime Day starts today. Everything arrives tomorrow, and nobody can tell you where any of it came from.
Our bone beads take 3 to 4 business days to ship. What you get for the wait is the whole story: buffalo and cow bone, from a butcher, made into beads by families in India, where not much gets wasted.
Way cooler shapes than anything in the big-box aisle. Way more story.
Send this to your crafty friend with twelve Prime tabs open right now.

New phone. Old photos. A reminder of how I built all of this.
I was scrolling through my camera roll this morning and these stopped me cold. These flatlays are how I grew this account to 76K+ followers.
Before reels.
Before trends.
Before we all had to perform and dance and follow audio trends just to be seen.
I would spend hours building these. Moving strands, adjusting light, finding the combinations that made my heart skip. It was slow. It was intentional. And people responded to it.
I miss those days. I miss having time with the product instead of time with the algorithm. I miss when beautiful things could just be beautiful without needing a hook or a trending sound.
But I also know some of you have been here since these photos were new. You remember when this feed was just color and texture and possibility. And that means everything.
So here they are again.
No performance.
No trend.
Just the work that started it all.
Do you remember these days? Or did you find me in the reel era?
Either way, thank you for being here.🙏
Listen, if you’re going to do Halloween, you might as well COMMIT.
These orange, black, and silver tinsel tassels are not subtle. They’re not “fall transitional.” They are full-send, unapologetic, maximum Halloween energy, and that’s exactly why I love them.
I made these in less than two minutes. You only need to to open a jump ring to attach the ear wire, and boom. Statement earrings that announce I am HERE for spooky season.
The thing about going all-in on Halloween jewelry is that you get exactly one month to wear it. So why not make it count? Why not wear the big shiny tassels that catch the light and move when you laugh and make you feel like the main character at every October gathering?
Also, these are soooooo easy to make that you could knock out a dozen pairs for friends in an afternoon. Host a girls’ night. Make matching earrings. Wear them to the pumpkin patch together. Live your best coordinated Halloween life.
The Halloween tassels, jump rings, and ear wires are all at the link. Grab them before they sell out again, because they will. They do every single year.
Who says pony beads are just for kids?
One of our customers called our Color Theory Kit “the Perfect Grown Up Bead Kit.”
Czech Glass pony beads and tie-on cords to make bracelets to match almost any outfit.
She’s right.
Make the silly little bracelets. Wear them with your favorite jeans. Stack them with your gold hoops. Give yourself permission to play.

The Halloween aisle wants you in black and orange, maybe a little moody-gothic if you’re feeling brave.
Nicole | Boho Chic Jewelry, Suncatchers, & Pendulums went a different direction. Bone, resin, Czech glass, and acrylic tube beads, in every color a highlighter comes in. Her words: “moody/gothic Halloween tooooo highlighter/rave Halloween.”
I told her: vibrant, fabulous, and perfectly seasonal without being cheesy. I meant it.
Color doesn’t check the calendar. Not even in October.
Tag the friend who needs permission to skip the black and orange this year.

Small business, the last 7 days, completely unfiltered.
Found 4 boxes of things I’ve apparently been hoarding for years: antique uranium glass, white heart African beads, gemstones I guess I think are too precious to share. They’ve been sitting on a shelf behind my desk the whole time.
Also wrote a to-do list built for 6 people, nearly gave myself a heart attack over a landing page, and I’m still slow to list the Zuni pendants I keep promising.
I did write my first blog post since last year.
What did you do this week that surprised even you?

The name says it all. Woman. Shops. World. This is a roundup of things that have caught my eye lately. Some I own, some I’m coveting, all of them made by actual humans with actual vision. Swipe through. xo, Carter
I connected with the founder of Four Rabbit online and we ended up trading. She got one of our POE straps, and I got these board game bandanas. This is exactly the kind of creative economy I want to live in. Colorful goods as currency. Find her online and in Brooklyn.
These came to me through Co Optics, an optical shop in Bulgaria that carries independent eyewear designers. OSCAR MAMOOI is Italian, and these frames are unlike anything I’ve ever put on my face. If you hang around here, you’ll be seeing a lot of these.
Found her on Discover. Bought the dress. Zero regrets. NUQTA is based in Sofia, Bulgaria and this is what maximalist dressing looks like when it’s done with real intention. Every stripe is deliberate. Every color block earned.
Water-infused marine resin, hand-cast in Miami. La Raison makes jewelry that looks like she trapped the night sky inside a ring. I’ve been watching her reels on repeat. The craftsmanship is genuinely wild.
She hand-burns illustrations into Birkenstock leather. By hand. With fire. I don’t know which design I’m getting yet but I know I’m getting one. Glory Bell is based in Michigan and her waitlist is worth it.

She was hosting eight girlfriends for a necklace-making night and needed one specific shade of pale blue.
We only had indigo online.
So I texted my African bead dealer. He went digging through his storage unit, found the Carolina blue, and she took seven strands.
She told me the whole thing felt like a spy movie. Best comment I got all week.
Let’s be real: I can’t do this for a single strand. For a big order, sometimes I can, depending on where the beads come from and how busy we are.
Some people will wait weeks for the right blue. Those are my people.
Send this to the friend who’d host the beading night.

My parents refused to spend $100 on Birkenstocks for a kid, so I saved up my own money and bought them myself.
I’ve owned more pairs than anyone I know ever since.
A few summers ago in Spain, I saw paracord knotted onto everything: bags, keychains, shoes. That perfect mix of utilitarian meets aesthetic. I knew we had to create our own version.
But here’s the thing: I’m a Virgo rising with half my planets in Virgo. I don’t release anything until it’s right.
A year later, here we are.
Knot Your Average Clogs is: American-made paracord, one of our artisan-made silky tassels, a European resin charm, and large-hole Czech glass, enamel, gemstone, and bone beads. Everything comes in an artisan-made wax-print cotton bag from Ghana that you’ll actually keep and use.
No tools required.
Never tied a knot in your life?
Perfect.
This project is completely forgiving.
Don’t like where a bead landed?
Just untie it and start over.
Five curated colorways:
✦ Sunset Brights (for the maximalist)
✦ Neon Pop (for the bold one)
✦ Ocean Vibes (for the beachy soul)
